Machiavelli said:
If you pick the picture of the FoAs reunion at Vashon Island, you may notice as a matter of fact that there is no rapresentation of non-whites among them. To avoid statistical anomaly, you would need to have about 6 black people. Otherwise you would have to assume that one is a racial group.
But besides the way they perceive Guede, there is the absolute lack of sympathy they show for Lumumba, that should be could with their absolute prejudice against Italian people involved in the case like Mignini, Napoleoni, Stefanoni, Maresca etc., people about whom they don't know really anything.
They are certainly racist, but not just in the way of having prejudice related to race. They express a set of imperialistic values. They are political and cultural bullies. They are ethnocentric, they push prejudicial ideas against Italians, express self-righteousness, thickness and intolerance of cultural diversity and other peoples' sovreignity.
I have to tell you Mach, you couldn't be further from the truth here. Most of those people are as liberal as you can get. I doubt there is a racist bone among them. Some of those people are Italian and/or of Italian descent. If anything, some might be scared to go to Italy, but no one hates Italy, let alone Italians. You are completely off-base here. Don't try to make this a racial issue. It is not and never has been.
ETA: Your statement about a picture of a group of people not having the correct statistical number of other races represented is laughable. Does that mean a picture of a group of black people that has no white people in it make it a racist group? Does that mean a picture of Italians gathered together in New York represents a racist group? C'mon, dude. You are much smarter than this kind of thinking.
Nothing provokes the giggles more than reading Machiavelli play the race card in this. He plays the race card under a thinly veiled anti-Americanism. I know something of anti-Americanism since I live in a country which has that as its second favourite national pasttime after hockey.
It's why I continually invite Mach. out for dinner, because we'd have a lot to talk about.
Yet here's the thing - Nowhere does Mach or others reveal how little they have to convict two innocents when they have to play the race card. Like with QG, it is used as a cover for otherwise an unconvincing case. Please remember, the case is now definitively acquitted against AK and RS; so, really, what else does Mach have?
Here's another deal that has plagued the world of guilterdom since the beginning - at least the more vocal of guilters. Imagine this - being able to look at one picture - one! - and discern the prejudicial habits of those within. That is an astonishing ability to possess. Other guilters from well-known, former websites discerned that AK was the guiilty one simply by looking at one - one! - picture of her, and it has been confirmation bias ever since.
Speaking of confirmation bias - Mach once accused the whole City of Seattle as practising the Mafia code of Omertà, the discipline of silence in relation to a member of their group - as it relates to Amanda Knox. All of Seattle. Including (presumably) ALL racial groups within the body-politic there; despite the racist leadership of the FOA, total silence by every citizen of the city.
Hoots!
As an aside, Machiavelli did not lose to America, as much as I, too, would want to go off on an anti-American tangent. Machiavelli lost to Section 5 of Cassazione. It's now over. Private citizens even went into a Florence court to try to rehabilitate that agenda that Section 5 was corrupt; Andrea Vogt covered that one. And that one lost, too......
What's left is venting on obscure websites half-way around the world. Mach's response to that is to claim his not interested in debating at home. We now know the reason why. He's tried and lost; to his own courts.
Knox was acquitted of defamation brought by some of the PLE. Maybe Mach can bring us up to speed on how Mignini's suit against Gumbel/Sollecito is going? Mignini didn't even bother coming to court the first time with an Italian translation of the offending sections of "Honor Bound", like always, Mignini simply expected to be believed on his own say-so - we don't need no stinking evidence!
"Honest judge, they hurt my feelings! Look at me, look how hurt I am!"
So make all the claims of racism you want. Shows the poverty of what you claim about the horrible Kercher murder itself.
But this case was (eventually) solved by Italians in Italy. My read of the convicting judges (part of Massei osted above) is that this horrible murder had nothing to do with race. Massei personalized the tragedy around Rudy's urges, his as a person NOT as part of a racial group.
Unless one needs to play the race card because they believe no one is listening.
