If you pick the picture of the FoAs reunion at Vashon Island, you may notice as a matter of fact that there is no rapresentation of non-whites among them. To avoid statistical anomaly, you would need to have about 6 black people. Otherwise you would have to assume that one is a racial group.

But besides the way they perceive Guede, there is the absolute lack of sympathy they show for Lumumba, that should be could with their absolute prejudice against Italian people involved in the case like Mignini, Napoleoni, Stefanoni, Maresca etc., people about whom they don't know really anything.

They are certainly racist, but not just in the way of having prejudice related to race. They express a set of imperialistic values. They are political and cultural bullies. They are ethnocentric, they push prejudicial ideas against Italians, express self-righteousness, thickness and intolerance of cultural diversity and other peoples' sovreignity.

Oh total nonsense. This in a nutshell is emblematic of why your thinking is wrongheaded. That is more about your own personal feelings about America and Americans then anything.

You see America as the big bully on the block which naturally is transferred to its citizens. You're insecure about your country economically and probably culturally and you hate that. You see a privileged white girl and a family that stood up to defend her against some bureaucratic bullies full of themselves. It bothers you that America won again.

Too bad. Waaaaah!

I'll take this as you agreeing with query_grind that Monica Napoleoni dropped a deuce in the toilet to cover up for Amanda and Raffaele due to their white power pact ;)

You are much smarter than this kind of thinking.

This is unearned praise. Notwithstanding that, in this microaggression climate, one can only hope that one day such accusations will be perceived as a kind of McCarthyism, bent on shaming away dissent.

But, playing the game for a moment, African Americans comprise 13% of the US population. Did you ever see a photo of a gathering of 60+ Knox supporters? I haven't.

Also, my wife - who lived in Italy for five years and, though she counts those among the best years of her life, has no illusions about the country's flaws - is from the Caribbean and has African blood on her father's side. She thinks what happened in the Meredith Kercher murder case an embarrassing travesty.

I have to tell you Mach, you couldn't be further from the truth here. Most of those people are as liberal as you can get. I doubt there is a racist bone among them. Some of those people are Italian and/or of Italian descent. If anything, some might be scared to go to Italy, but no one hates Italy, let alone Italians. You are completely off-base here. Don't try to make this a racial issue. It is not and never has been.

ETA: Your statement about a picture of a group of people not having the correct statistical number of other races represented is laughable. Does that mean a picture of a group of black people that has no white people in it make it a racist group? Does that mean a picture of Italians gathered together in New York represents a racist group? C'mon, dude. You are much smarter than this kind of thinking.

Nothing provokes the giggles more than reading Machiavelli play the race card in this. He plays the race card under a thinly veiled anti-Americanism. I know something of anti-Americanism since I live in a country which has that as its second favourite national pasttime after hockey.

It's why I continually invite Mach. out for dinner, because we'd have a lot to talk about.

Yet here's the thing - Nowhere does Mach or others reveal how little they have to convict two innocents when they have to play the race card. Like with QG, it is used as a cover for otherwise an unconvincing case. Please remember, the case is now definitively acquitted against AK and RS; so, really, what else does Mach have?

Here's another deal that has plagued the world of guilterdom since the beginning - at least the more vocal of guilters. Imagine this - being able to look at one picture - one! - and discern the prejudicial habits of those within. That is an astonishing ability to possess. Other guilters from well-known, former websites discerned that AK was the guiilty one simply by looking at one - one! - picture of her, and it has been confirmation bias ever since.

Speaking of confirmation bias - Mach once accused the whole City of Seattle as practising the Mafia code of Omertà, the discipline of silence in relation to a member of their group - as it relates to Amanda Knox. All of Seattle. Including (presumably) ALL racial groups within the body-politic there; despite the racist leadership of the FOA, total silence by every citizen of the city.

Hoots!

As an aside, Machiavelli did not lose to America, as much as I, too, would want to go off on an anti-American tangent. Machiavelli lost to Section 5 of Cassazione. It's now over. Private citizens even went into a Florence court to try to rehabilitate that agenda that Section 5 was corrupt; Andrea Vogt covered that one. And that one lost, too......

What's left is venting on obscure websites half-way around the world. Mach's response to that is to claim his not interested in debating at home. We now know the reason why. He's tried and lost; to his own courts.

Knox was acquitted of defamation brought by some of the PLE. Maybe Mach can bring us up to speed on how Mignini's suit against Gumbel/Sollecito is going? Mignini didn't even bother coming to court the first time with an Italian translation of the offending sections of "Honor Bound", like always, Mignini simply expected to be believed on his own say-so - we don't need no stinking evidence!

"Honest judge, they hurt my feelings! Look at me, look how hurt I am!"

So make all the claims of racism you want. Shows the poverty of what you claim about the horrible Kercher murder itself.

But this case was (eventually) solved by Italians in Italy. My read of the convicting judges (part of Massei osted above) is that this horrible murder had nothing to do with race. Massei personalized the tragedy around Rudy's urges, his as a person NOT as part of a racial group.

Unless one needs to play the race card because they believe no one is listening.

From an Italian paper Mach - backwards country

In February 2012 he tried a member of Forza Italy, Daniele Galli: introduced a bill to require the State to reimburse the legal costs of the citizen who is a defendant in a criminal trial and comes out acquitted. He was never even discussed. Yet he faced one of the worst Italian injustices.
Every year in this country open 1.2 million criminal cases, plus a few hundreds of thousands of tax processes. The acquitted in the end, are the majority: according to some estimates is almost two-thirds of the total. Many are those that come from court acquitted a "full formula", as they say, and that is because the crime does not exist or to not have committed the crime. They, however, of his own money must still pay the lawyer and part of professionals: experts, technicians, consultants.
These figures are sometimes important. The family of Raffaele Sollecito, tried for eight years as a defendant in the murder of Meredith Kercher in Perugia, had to pay 1.3 million euro. Elvo Zornitta, falsely accused of being "Unabomber", the North-East terrorist, should pay 150,000 to his lawyer. Joseph Gulotta, a victim of the worst miscarriage of justice in the history of Italy (22 years of innocent prison) should face a charge of 600 thousand euro. Then there are many cases in which even land from tens of thousands of euro are the economic ruin.

For all this the '' unjust imputation "is also an injustice intolerable for the rule of law. But it is also for the example that comes from abroad: in the UK and 31 other European countries, from Albania to Hungary, the judiciary requires that both recognized the compensation of legal costs for the defendant complied with full formula. The weekly Panorama has devoted to the subject a cover story , which has generated interest in Parliament, launching numerous proposals for cross reads, from right to left, and both the House and the Senate.

This is emblematic of a sore loser. The contest was lost and has nothing left to contribute but snipe on his way out. Notice he doesn't hang around any more. It's more hit and run scurrilous remarks. Really sad he's not more magnanimous.

As well as all that though, Amanda didn't do it. Nonetheless, your comment is instructive as a pointer to the psychological gratifications people like you get from devoting so much of their lives to this nonsense.

That is what is important. . . .
Did Amanda Kinox and Raffaele Sollecito murder Meredeth Kercher?
If the answer is no, then it does not matter what kind of personality they may have.

Good Lord! A wife with African blood on her father's side? Well, I shall certainly defer to you on matters of racial politics in future.

Can I ask you (or even better your wife) or Friends of Amanda in general what they make of the break-in to crime scene.

I have seen 3 explanations thus far:
1. Unexplained hijinks by the local lads.
2. Attempted intimidation of the police before giving testimony. CF John Follain
That day, Mignini returned to the cottage after police told him that intruders had broken in and ransacked Meredith and Amanda’s flat. The break-in had been discovered by a passing patrol car. The first thing the prosecutor noticed was that the intruders had broken in through the glass door that gave on to the terrace – which he had always argued was the easiest way in. He saw it as further confirmation that no one had broken in through Filomena’s window at the time of Meredith’s murder.

Inside, the police had found a used candle and four big kitchen knives – one knife on a shelf near the front door, one on the kitchen floor on top of an empty police evidence bag, one on Meredith’s bed, and one in front of her bedroom doorway, with the blade pointing towards it.

It might just be a stunt by some idiots, the prosecutor thought, but it might also be something more than that. He guessed it might be a coded message of
some kind, but he had no idea what. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that the detectives of the Flying Squad were due to testify at the trial in a few days’ time.

3. And this is the most wonderful, from Catnip of PMF fame. An ecologically useful exercise in recycling by the economically deprived
The story of the wax in the cottage immediately conjured up lurid film-inspired Halloween-like speculation about why somebody would want to use candles, rather than imagining a couple of homeless down-and-outs who couldn’t afford torches [US: flashlights] while exploring a cottage for recyclable material with the power off.
[I wish I was making this up......]

So is there anything about these break-ins that would cause you, or your wife bountifully enriched with African heritage on her father's side, to have any concerns that the Lone Wolf scenario might not provide a complete and utterly robust explanation for the murder of Meredith Kercher?

Giving a mockng tone to a poster here who has a relative with African ancestry.

Some might call that racist, with the exception of Machiavelli who needs to look at a photo first.

Hoots!

LOL, from the person who has spend 365 days a year for the last 4 years pounding his keyboard in a non-stop campaign of racial vilification to someone who gently mocks a poster who implicitly claims a privileged position on the basis of a "wife who has African blood on her father's side." And that is leaving aside the blatant and cowardly dodging of the substantive issue.

Shameless, utterly shameless.

One thing is for sure: when you get bested, your cry of "racist" is telling. It is a blatant non sequitor which IMO dodges the issues at hand.

When your point is weak, use ad hominem and cry "racist". All to justfy mocking someone who is related to someone of different ethnic origin. Nice try.

There is nothing wrong with mocking "someone who is related to someone of different ethnic origin" - otherwise we wouldn't be able to mock hardly anyone.

What would be wrong would be mock someone on the grounds that they were related to someone of different ethnic origins - difficult although it might be to imagine how to implement such a campaign of mockery.
What I did was to mock using such a claim to justify an internet campaign of racial vilification (its a variation of the "but I've got lots of black friends defense"). Something entirely different and entirely above criticism from any of the ringleaders of hate.

Ringleaders of hate? All because few buy your claim that the lone attacker is not probable?

Do you really need this inflamed rhetoric to make that point? Honestly, it makes it look like you can't so you may as well go for the big stuff.

I can't force you to engage with the "big stuff". If you want to have a crack to try and reconcile the break-in with the menacing coded message to the Lone Wolf theory, be my guest.

Just as I suspected. A racist in microaggression police clothing. You'd best mind your peccadilloes lest Machiavelli swoop in and revoke your member card.

Meanwhile, my wife and I are offended to the very core of our beings by your insensitivity.

Well, when you have both finished swooning would you care to address the substantive issue? Assuming you didn't just emerge from retirement in a burst of illogic to demonstrate that Friends of Amanda couldnt possibly be partially influenced by racism.

Do you agree it looks like coded menaces and can you reconcile that with Rudy Guede as Lone Wolf?
Or do you subscribe to Catnip's theory of the enterprising young recyclers using candles because they couldn't afford a torch?

'guery grind', you are a most disgusting poster/person! The moderators would do well to warn you to post without tarnishing this blog with your racism--yes, you are the one who is the racist.

That same "You are racist" argument could be used with the David Camm.
Are we unfairly prejudice against Charles Boney? Maybe he had a date with Kimberly Camm and David Camm then came in to murder them?

The only racism I see is being practiced by Query Grind in his play of the race card. Amanda happens to be white. She is also innocent. Rudy is black. He is guilty. Their race had nothing to do with those findings.

It was however Rudy's many shoe prints in Meredith's blood and none that could be attributed to Amanda or Raffaele.
It was Rudy's DNA in Meredith's vagina and no one else's.
It was Rudy's story that he had a date with Meredith that no one could corroborate.
It was Rudy who admits being there while Meredith was murdered and told a bizarre story that no one believes including all the guilters.
It was Rudy who never called the police that night while Meredith was dying.
It was Rudy who clearly was trying to create an alibi for himself by going dancing that very night.
It was Rudy who fled the country even though he had no reason to believe that the Perugian police knew he existed.

None of this has to do with Rudy's race. Query Grind's attempt to give a killer a free pass just because of the color of the accused skin is the only racism I'm seeing.

Really sad.
