13:26 is when the patrol car calls dispatch asking for directions, so they can't have arrived at the cottage at the same time they were asking for directions to it.

Apparently, the person calling for directions was from HQ, by which time the police had found their own way.

Noticed no linky and it turns out to come from ole Nina Burleigh in an opinion piece in CNN without quotes. I don't trust her work without corroboration. I've done a quit look and it seems all the references emanated from Nina. I watched the video Del Prato made and she didn't mention this theory.

I do actually believe it may be accurate or close as the place allegedly had been broken into before and thousands in cash stolen which, if a key were used, would cause me to change the locks immediately.

No doubt but isn't it remarkable that the kids are alleged to have pick an MO so close to the lawyers' office that the laptop Rudi had came from? Why didn't they just leave the balcony door unlocked or forced the front door. Rudi's bad luck I guess.

I have no idea. IMV the crime was clearly one committed by a sociopath or sociopaths, and the lower courts concluded there was more than one perp.

I think it bears a close similarity to the Scream murderers, 16 yr olds Brian Draper and Adamcik, in that the perps were likely immature, fantasists, sociopaths, brimming with rage about being rejected by their peers. Draper idolised the Columbine High School murdererers.

Raf was a fantasist, knife fetishist, who heavily used drugs. Amanda boiled with resentment about Mez pointedly avoiding her on Halloween. Both showed signs of immaturity and irresponsible behaviour.

Mix in fellow reckless druggie for the evening, Rudy, and you can see poor Mez didn't stand a chance.

Btw the Italian justice system acquitted them so you must accept their innocence and recognize that the highest court in the land didn't agree with the lowly Massei court.

He spent the night there. His story was that he paid for the location where he could sleep. It seems reasonable that he was directed to the location since he didn't break in but rather either had a key or the trick to enter. He feared for his safety in that others could also be given the location or his tipster could show up later to do him harm. He clearly didn't steal the knife for its value.

If Rudi took the large knife from the kitchen for his protection in the nursery school, why did he put it inside his knapsack rather than keep it out to grab instantly if he heard someone in the corridor or if someone suddenly walked in on him without Rudi hearing them approach?

He did not grab it and have it at the ready when the school director came down the hallway to her office, for she described him as calm when she walked in on him.

No you are wrong. It locked just fine but didn't latch properly.

They didn't shut all way because of swollen wood. Filomena most likely didn't shut them as she was in a hurry to get to the party even having Raf wrap her gift.

Did you really not see how easy the "climb" was look here

Why would he have the rock in pocket? Most likely the shutters were left open and he threw the 9 lbs rock through the window and climbed up and in.

The shutters couldn't lock.

I am looking at it from the psychological POV. Amanda rang Mez several times during the evening. With Patrick taking on Mez to mix Mojitos and demoting Amanda to handing out flyers, it likely triggered painful childhood memories in Amanda.

Not being invited by your peers can be extremely hurtful even to a mature adult.

You note in her email home, Amanda cites Mez having fake blood on her chin from the night before, which both she and Raf saw that afternoon.

Switching both their phones off together and transporting a knife from Raf's does indicate a mission IMV.

And it was a particularly mean crime.

They are innocent, but they did everything to put themselves under suspicion.

It's not like he couldn't grab it quickly - he had a kitchen knife from the nursery what do you think it was for? I'm guesssing he had it at the ready while sleeping and heard the woman's voice and the child and didn't feel the need to whip the knife out.
