Not exactly an in-depth article about UFO Believers and the Disclosure Canada Tour but . . .

The highlight comes halfway through. Two men are driving. We view them from the back seat—possibly for drama-based reasons; more likely because no one associated with this production can afford a GoPro. One guy speculates about other dimensions, then says: “The answer to those questions—just by the very fact we can ask these questions—is evidence that there must be some sort of answer out there about any number of those questions.” Congratulations, hero: In a single sentence, you managed to make less sense than the final two seasons of The X-Files.

Still, the tour represented a throwback to a time when conspiracy theorists were agreeably eccentric, unfamiliar with the sort of casual cruelty later displayed by 9/11 and Sandy Hook “truthers.” In a way, these UFO obsessives are even to be admired: They have devoted their life’s work to bravely ignoring every piece of evidence that their life’s work is really dumb. To cite just two obvious points:

1. In the age of smartphones, the existence of flying saucers ought to be better documented by now than any other phenomenon, up to, and including, double rainbows and drunken skateboard fails. Let’s face it: If UFOs were real, Google would already be mapping their interiors. Click left to visit the probe-a-torium! And we’d all be watching reality shows in which Jillian Michaels humiliates our new reptile overlord into getting back in shape after binge-eating the bearded hermits of North Dakota.

2. . . .

Highlighting mine.
. . . it does cover the high points.

I just got book through the post this morning called-if the universe is teeming with aliens where is everybody,50 solutions to the Fermi paradox and the question of e.t life by s.Webb.
The author pretty much thinks what I think in that simple life is common and life like humans very, very rare-maybe were it. He does give each counter argument a fair shake though, looks like it'll be a interesting read.

So basically, you're saying that every sighting from the earliest dawn of man up to and including the present and into the future until one actually lands on the White House lawn for tea and crumpets are all just mistaken identity, fraud, etc.

The signal to noise ratio is so high we would never be able to identify even a reasonably plausible sighting

The people who should be seeing these UFOs are not - Amateur astronomers

What alien sightings from the dawn of man, there arnt any. And yes the modern ones are mistakes and fraud.

My personal belief is that while life may well be ubiquitous throughout the universe, intelligent life is not. Partly because a species living long enough to attain a level of intelligence at or greater than ours requires an enormous amount of luck. Partly because intelligent civilizations usually destroy themselves or are destroyed by external factors before they can get very advanced:(

Even if there have been/currently are/will be numerous advanced ET species out there in the universe, they may well be far too remote in space and/or time for us to ever meet them. Or maybe they're just at a point in their existence where they don't want or need to meet new people.

Or maybe the ETs are avoiding Earth because they're AI snobs who don't want to mingle with us monkeys and are waiting patiently for our machine descendants to get sufficiently interesting to be worth talking to:alien003:

Despite Rule of So and all, you are actually correct. Mistaken identity and fraud pretty well cover all UFO reports thus far.

The Urantia Book states that Earth is under quarantine because our planet-wide mental unhealth is detrimental to visitors.

Pretty much. Do you have an exception?

I'm not completely certain of what you are trying to say. So, let me state it this way. I don't believe that aliens have ever visited Earth.

Tea & crumpets at the White House? They'd HAVE TO be from another planet to try that! Everybody from this one knows the place to land for tea & crumpets is Buckingham Palace.

At the current White House the aliens might be offered a bottle of the house recipe honey ale. And Obama might take them up to the roof to sneak a smoke behind the antiaircraft missiles. But not tea and crumpets.

What no one on one basketball for out new BFFs - How rude!!! lol

It is my belief , baring indirect observation of abornmal spectra of a planet or very weak signal sent like the one we sent, we will never find out if intelligent life or unintelligent life exists out there, because the gulf between stars is too vast, the energy , resource and time required to bridge it too enormous, and that if life exists outside, we are all isolated balkan isle never able to meet each other never allowed to communicate beyond "i am here (or at least i was 10'000s of years ago". It is alos my belief that we will never go out of this solar system. We were born here, lived here, and our civilisation will die here, to be forgotten and the ruins of it disappearing after a long time, wit maybe a few space probe showing we existed for a somewhat longer time.

And thus as is the human toil, humanity will go into oblivion lonely.

You are giving up way too easily. Read a bit of Science Fiction. Read some history of Science. :w2:

Why on earth should an amateur astronomer be the ultimate decision maker. They are looking "at the stars" through a narrow field of vision. Sorry, but I'm taking the word of pilots, radar operaters, etc., who are not all amateurs. Pilots fly at or near the height of most ufo reports. They have the ability to have a 360 degree of vision with a turn of the stick.

I don't get the first part of your post. There have been many sightings that were clear enough and many times seen by more than one person.

Still, do you believe that all sightings from the dawn of man up to and including the present were all mistaken I.D.'s, lies, etc.?
