This is a great example of how being so foolish can and will get you killed. Fortunately this guy at least made his own dumb decision, and was not the victim of some lunatic out in the woods with a rifle or high powered pistol looking for something manlike to shoot at. How long until someone actually gets shot over this? "Footers" should be willing to admit by the year 2014 it is all a farce. You do yourself no justice (and others who may fall for it) here by promoting this crap to folks/youth. After being involved with this as long as you have Chris, you should know better. Should be ashamed of believing in this garbage. But no, lets run websites promoting the idea and see how many others can be duped.

I just dont get it. Bigfoot, faeries, lockness... its all fun and games until someone dies. Then what? Still proud of looking for this _____ (insert your favorite social construct here) with nothing but campfire stories to show for yourself? After 7 years (according to your website) you've found nothing definitive, and have basically become either a liar or you are really mentally deficient enough to believe these shadows you see in the brush are of an actual bigfoot.
I propose all "pros" in bigfooting KNOW for a fact it is not a real creature. I propose that this is SOP for ANY social construct belief. (including the ghost hunters and ufologists) They all know it's not real. If not, they may need medications to keep them functioning on an acceptable level to remain free in society.
Why so fanatical? Why not base your knowledge on reality, and in science? I am sincerely amazed sometimes at what length footers will go to play this silly game of theatrics. Even to the point of death in that persons case. Real funny eh?

River, I'm amazed by your lack of knowledge of my background on the subject of Bigfoot. It's not like I hide behind a made up name on forums or anywhere else. You should have learned by now that I am a no kill advocate. Just because I carry when I'm out doesn't mean I'm looking to plug a Bigfoot or a hoaxer. Seems like you're the one that keeps demonstrating instabilities and lies.
However, if you decide to go out trekking in an area known to have large predators, like bear or cougar etc. for whatever reason you choose, please do. Don't take my advice. Go unarmed and rely on mother nature's good will.
I'm disappointed with the lack of presentation in your posts. It would seem you can only attack me personally without presenting any evidence of your claims or accusations. If that's all you have, you've already lost any debate and you know it.

You're funny Chris. Keep re-directing away from the whole, myth thing. So you're definitely one of the "pros" that knows there is no bigfoot correct? That is why you're "no kill"? (har har)
What convinces you there is such a thing as bigfoot, and why should any of us believe anything you say regarding a real "bigfoot" creature? I find it hilarious the way you expect others to take you seriously. The only thing I'm losing is a few minutes making music to entertain myself here reading the rubes and the pros responses to this subject matter. It truly is amazing the routes one will take in order to "believe" or to try and pass that belief to others. Yes, entertaining indeed.
That said, if you're asking what my opinion is on footers it's pretty simple. You're either being fooled, a fool or fooling someone. No exceptions.

I think you're a bit confused. I voiced my opinion of a deer kill that was possibly other than Bigfoot. I have made no other claims for discussion here.
I encourage you to hold tight to your beliefs. Remain skeptical until you have a sighting of your own. I'm not interested in discussing mine.
I've not asked your opinion of Bigfooters. I've merely responded to point out the false accusations you have made without any evidence or proof of such.
If name calling is the only required skill for discussion here, it would seem the ability to make intelligent posts has moved down the slope quite a bit.

Holy crap. There are apparently two different Kentucky bigfoot websites. I was looking at the other one. My apologies. Seriously, two different webistes dedicated to bigfoot in Kentucky? Didn't anyone take a history course? The state has been comprehensively logged and mapped, maybe twice.
In any case, I apologize if you don't earn anything from that other group.
Why in the world wouldn't one remain skeptical, given the fallibility of human cognition?

Chris, you don't advocate "packin' large" on your website because you might encounter a bear in the woods. The point is clearly for protection from the 12'-tall "truly giant" bigfootsies out there:

That's why I always carry a phaser when I go to the field. Its not set to stun, it's set to disintegrate and that's why I can't show you a bigfoot body.

What I would like to know is what magical power bigfeets have on photography, that there is never a good picture. Do they blur the cameras? Do they cloud the minds of the photographers and cause them to use them badly?
We have a statement that the bigfoot here was 51 feet away from the camera. Not 49, not 55. What's he shooting this blurry shot with? A disposable camera? A webcam? A pinhole?
You'd think that these days especially a person who is seriously trying to convince people that a bigfoot exists would spend a little money on a decent camera and a little time on learning to use it. Even if you're in the woods for another reason, are you packing so large there's no room for a better camera?
51 feet is not that far away. A modern digital pocket camera set on its widest angle should get a cleaner shot than that, and with a little narrower angle and some skill a whole lot cleaner. And there's no excuse not to shoot continuously either. If that's the best shot of the bunch, that's nothing to be proud of.
As a quick and dirty trial, I fired up my 12 year old Nikon Coolpix 2000. It produces a native maximum file of 2 megapixels. Two! Granted it's a Nikon and the lens may be a bit better than the worst point and shoots even now, but that's pretty obsolete. It also has no picture stabilization.
I stand at my back door and shoot out casually on a rainy morning, at the widest angle setting in standard "automatic" mode. The area cropped is about eighty feet away. The large image is downsized a bit for display here and otherwise untouched from the camera. The crop is 146 pixels wide out of the original. Oh my god, is that a bigfoot hiding in there?

I don't want too much to belabor the point, but given how long people have been hunting for bigfoot and how much has been expended in the hunt, I just can't quite let go of the sheer gall that demands we accept the most marginal and unconvincing pictures of blur and JPG sharpening artifacts as if they proved something.
I would add that often a zoom, owing to the blur and artifacts of JPG compression, may look more like something than the original does.
I won't bother with further bandwidth wasting, but I took a 6 year old Vivitar fixed lens camera (8.1 mp, 7.2mm lens) that I found a few weeks ago at the bottom of a tag sale free box, measured out 51 feet and shot the same hedge as shown above. It was pretty p-poor but it came out better than what was shown.
Stand 51 feet from a hedgerow or woods, and shoot a camera at it, and then come back and tell us that this is the best you can do. It's the 21st century, folks, the age of rapid fire, autofocus, and cheap megapixels. If you're out hunting squatches, get a camera that works, and learn how to point it.
