Mr. Thompson said he needed little persuasion to examine the case; the subsequent inquiry found that there was no DNA evidence, physical evidence or credible testimony to link Mr. McCallum or Mr. Stuckey to the abduction or killing of the victim, Nathan Blenner.
At a news conference, Mr. Thompson said he had “inherited a legacy of disgrace with respect to wrongful conviction cases.” A Conviction Review Unit that he established, which is headed by a Harvard Law School professor, Ronald S. Sullivan Jr., has resulted in the vacating of nine convictions this year.

It's also worth mentioning that the Daily Mail has a record of simply fabricating articles out of whole cloth. Reporting events that never occurred, and fabricating quotes.
The Daily Mail certainly made up a great deal in their story about the noise ticket Amanda received. There was information in that article that you could tell was made up. The author clearly used the police report and embellished the rest. I thought it was clever and sleazy at the same time. But is that a surprise?

So what Ms Antonelli said or didn't say, or made up is only part of the problem.

And why would Amanda feel obligated to "say goodbye" to someone who openly says she thinks Amanda is guilty, and wanted her to spend decades in prison for a crime any rational person would know Amanda nor anyone one else committed, except Rudy Guede.

That prison guard is a piece of work. Whatever money she got paid, should be clawed back through legal action. It's unconscionable she made one cent off of a miscarriage of justice, or even for that matter, from an actual criminal.

It's sickening watching people continue to attack Amanda's character. It shows a lack if integrity, if you ask me, or even if you don't ask. It shows a lack of personal integrity.

I agree.

No - no no no.

I think you will find that those who are persuaded that white kids are sometimes guilty of murder will rightly refuse to accept that miscarriages of justice ever occur.

Obviously should you ever find even one then that proves that Britney & raffy are innocent.

Heya Platonov,
Just wonderin',
who is Britney?

Amanda?

Where does this come Pro-Guilt - (I assume), nickname come from?
Thanks for an answer to enlighten me,
RW

Hey,
by the way,
do you think it was the cat who left those bloody lines on Stefano's bedspread?
If so, was this before or after it left the bloody drops there and on the chair in front of the tv?

We've proven quite clearly that Amanda and Raffaele are innocent. You have to have your head in the sand or logically impaired to think they are guilty.

I have often asked the pro guilt posters to show my why I am wrong about trhem being innocent. Generally, I just get insulted.

I've been posting on this site for a couple of years DF and they never address the timeline or the contradictions. They stay away from the facts consistently. There used to be lots of pro guilt people commenting on the site but they have gone away. The argument for guilt simply doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

Hi Machiavelli,
Can you please help me,
you with inside Italian knowledge,
decipher what I'd bet that you would call gibberish* that I found on The WWW?
Thanks, RW

1. The Secret Downstairs Crime Scene/Cat’s Blood

The question remains: were the downstairs samples really “cat blood”? The Scientific Police’s records are inconclusive and their actions suggest that they did not believe the samples were “cat blood”:

•No species-specific blood test was observed by the defense, no methodology to identify species is disclosed in the SALs, and no corresponding test records have been produced.

•The lab did not stop testing the samples that its records now say are “cat blood” (as would be expected if it believed it was dealing with cat samples), but instead, the lab subjected all of these traces to subsequent human-specific DNA analysis (Real Time PCR amplification and STR amplification).

The results of the Lab’s DNA testing undercut the suggestion that a species-specific blood test was performed, leading to a proper identification of all of the blood-positive samples as “cat blood”:

•Only 2 of the 18 “cat blood” traces failed to quantify at least some human DNA.

•Of the 20 blood-positive traces, 8 had sufficient quantity of human DNA such that, per the Lab’s practice, they could be genetically profiled. Of these 8 traces, the Lab records suggest that at least 6 were genetically-profiled (via STR analysis), but none of the ensuing 6 profiles have been disclosed by the prosecution.

It is implausible that some of the items identified as “cat blood” would actually have been deposited by a cat or that a cat could bleed from the ear that much:

•Item Nos. 8, 9 and 10 form a path of 10 apparent fresh blood drops leading down the steps to the entry door to the downstairs apartment. The number and placement of drops appears too profuse to be from a cat. In addition, the drops are wide and diffuse, suggesting that they might not represent drops of pure blood, but rather, blood thinned with water.

•Item No. 28 is a lightswitch on the wall of the downstairs apartment. The lightswitch samples are the only blood samples from inside of the downstairs apartment that are not identified as cat’s blood.

<snip>
ETC, etc, etc...

Any Pro-Guilt folks wanna help me understand all this?
TIA, RW

While I think a pretty very good job proving innocence has been done, that is not the job of those arguing against guilt. Instead, those arguing for guilt have to prove their case, which you appear to have utterly failed.

Howdy!
I hope that some of you have been reading my posts from yesterday and today, as I'm gonna go off into speculatin',
it's fun, ya might say, especially as I've had a few vodka shots in the last hour before I get back to work editing surfpix, yea!

Anyways,
you do remember that when Rudy Guede was busted in Milan just a few days before Miss Kercher's horrible murder,
he had quite a few things on him, such as a stolen laptop
-(with his own photo already uploaded on it, a shot of RG hangin' out with Armani!),
a stolen cell phone, taken from the same place as where the stolen laptop came from
-(Rudy even had his SIM card in the cell phone, IIRC!)
a stolen knife from the school kitchen,
a stolen set of keys, and a lil' hammer,
good for poundin' nails or breakin'+enterin'?

Here's a pic,
which I digitally reversed, for a reason, of RG, busted in Milan:
picture.php

So check this out.
Rememberin' RG's bust in Milan just days prior to Miss Kercher's rape+murder,
and reading Diocletus theory that I re-posted earlier today, well I was a bit surprised
to see some possible tools of Rudy Guede's trade, such as a little hammer,
layin' on the boys downstairs apartment table, and some keys too:

picture.php

Made me wonder,
were the boyz downstairs ever asked if that hammer was theirs?
If not theirs, was the lil' hammer ever tested for fingerprints?
What of the cig butts in the ashtray? Ever tested for DNA or fingerprints?
What about the keys found near the lil' hammer? Whom did they belong to?
Kinda odd to go on holiday and leave your front door or bedroom door keys on the kitchen table, right?
I seem to recall reading that Giacomo's keys were found upstairs, but Meredith's were not.
Those are not Meredith's keys, right?
Hmmmm...

But the strangest thing that is botherin' me right now,
is this, the possible bloody drawings found in Giacomo's(?) bedroom, near the door
and also this 1, posted below, found near his sandals.

picture.php

Whatcha talkin' about, RW?
I 1st thought it a bloody trail left from the bleeding cat.
But I don't know, download + watch the CrimeScene video + look at it closely,
https://mega.co.nz/#!fwo3UbDS!YpT6M0rQJiaKKLy6HjZ8XrfB69YrKpgFCIVGaHckejw
there are 2 of these bloody(?) outlines, but the 2nd 1, the one above, it looks more like a caricature
(a picture, description, or imitation of a person or thing in which certain striking characteristics are exaggerated
in order to create a comic or grotesque effect.)

Ever had 1 drawn for you, a family member, a friend?

That image seems to look almost like a selfy of "Poor Rudy".
Check the busted in Milan photo above.
Could it be 1 drawn in blood as he tripped out on what he did to Meredith?

I wonder this as I recall things of Rudy that his friends made mention of, like this:
1)- Victor Oleinikov-
Rudy never wanted to go home and was always happy to sleep on the floor of the apartment Victor shared with roommates.

This only became a problem when Rudy started displaying very strange sleeping disorders. His eyes were normally droopy and during these attacks one couldn’t tell if he was awake or asleep. Rudy would rise in the middle of the night and, using a dresser as a black board, teach a lesson as though he was a professor, moving seamlessly between Italian and English. The students found this particularly unsettling. When he awoke in the morning he had no memory of the event. He told his friends that at home he had to hide his keys from himself because he tended to get up in this state and wander the streets, only to awaken miles from his home.

He also had periods of crawling on the floor and barking like a dog.

After his arrest, these behaviors were classified as psychogenic dissociative state or Fugue State, often associated with multiple personality disorder and nearly always the result of childhood sexual and physical abuse.

Oleinikov also says that Rudy was a light weight drug user, becoming incapacitated on even small amounts of hash. He observed Rudy on many occasions falling asleep while sitting on the toilet listening to his iPod. (1)
<snip>

What about what others said occurred when they found Rudy in their place of business, such as:
2) - "At a nursery school in Milan a week later,
director Maria Antonietta Salvadori Del Prato, walked in on a Saturday and found Guede sitting at her desk, she told me in an interview. She called police. They found the stolen laptop and a knife in his pack. Del Prato suspected he might have gotten a key to the nursery school from one of her employees who frequented the Milan club scene. Del Prato told me she believed he spent a night on the children's cots and cooked a pot of pasta in the kitchen, then placed it in little bowls around the room."
<snip>

Sounds like Rudy was trippin', in my humble opinion!...

Look at the Nov. 3, 2007 Part 2 CrimeScene video,
check the few minutes before this last photo above, what do you think:
Did an Italian cop draw this to outline evidence?
Or did a cat draw a very fine image, in blood?
Or did Rudy or someone else draw a bloody caricature downstairs in Giacomo's bedroom?

See ya, RW

Nice find spotting the hammer and screwdriver. I hadn't noticed them before but the hammer might have been used to clear the broken glass is the door frame. You'd really need to check the video from November 2 to see if they were on the table when the door was broken in but the video isn't available. Same thing for the kicked in bedroom door that the video guy zooms in on.

Does the hammer have its own exhibit number? If not, then it is probably police property or known to be irrelevant. Like the lamp, which also did not rate one.

FROM: http://online.wsj.com/articles/wrongly-imprisoned-for-29-years-man-goes-free-in-brooklyn-1413420015

"Messrs. McCallum and Stuckey both recanted their confessions before trial and continued to proclaim their innocence after they were convicted. Mr. McCallum was repeatedly denied parole because he refused to admit to the killing, his attorney Oscar Michelen said.

"'He told the parole board, 'I fell for that trick once. Last time I said something to get myself out of prison, I never saw my family again,' ' Mr. Michelen said... "

-
Is it me or is there a pattern to the recently announced wrongful convictions being posted here?

My main observation would be there is an enormous difference between those who have been proven in court of law as wrongly convicted with the yet uncompleted judicial process in Italy.

Secondary observation would be that those from low economic, low educational background who also happen to be from an ethnic minority are far more likely to experience police brutality and wrongful conviction, than those from a middle class background. Athough not exclusive the former appears to be the norm with the latter the exception.

This is an alleged statement from Angela Antonelli, the "friendly" prison guard as posted on the Feinstein site; in the context of the article, I find this another attempt at character assassination.

Disclaimer: I have read all 7 Harry Potter books. (Thus, I have read at least 2 more books than Curt Knox allegedly had claimed to read.)
http://www.sharonfeinstein.co.uk/main/interviews/Amanda_Knox.php

She read and wrote day and night, she had so many books she could have filled a library.
She was so immersed in her world that probably even if she had lost the appeal and had to serve her 26 years she would have remained buried in her studies. The most emotion I ever saw in her was while she was waiting for her mother to bring her the second Harry Potter book. She got anxious, kept asking when her mother was coming, and whether I thought the book would pass, as not all books are allowed through. She was scared the cover would be too hard, and when it passed she was so pleased.
She felt emotions for books not for people.
Note: Amanda was an honors college student from a different culture surrounded by convicted criminals, some of whom apparently had unstable personalities (see AK's book, WTBH) and prison guards who would report all her behavior, speech, and writings (which were illegally taken from her and illegally published) positive or negative, to the prosecution to be used against her. It was wise for her to be guarded in expressing emotion, in my opinion, and not a sign of a character defect.

No doubt the "lady" prison guard and the prisoner were paid handsomely for their contributions to Feinstein's journalism.

Is it me or is there a pattern to the recently announced wrongful convictions being posted here?

I think it is definitely more likely to happen when people are in a vulnerable position, for example, being young and in a foreign country, being an outsider and not speaking the language

You are of course ignoring the common denominator of the links provide so far, inasmuch they appear to be wrongful convictions that have taken place in America against fellow Americans who happen to be from an ethnic minority.

.
Was Rudy or someone else trying to frame Meredith's boyfriend for Rudy's murder by putting Meredith's blood on her boyfriend's bed and linens? It could have worked had her boyfriend not had an airtight alibi for that night.

The important question is whether or not it is Meredith's blood, and if so, why the police claim otherwise?

Cody
.

why the police claim otherwise? they're lying pigs, cowards who have power to manipulate evidence and intimidate bums in parks.

why do the Guiltards pray to Rudy Guede?

why would the Kerchers not be more upset about Rudy Guede being released and free college?

why would Maresca not be on fire about Rudys release?

why did the police not record the interrogation?

I would trust my neighbor more than the police and system, and what time has shown us Monica and others were caught being dishonest, and harrassing and abusing power.

what personal gain does a crooked "pack" of cops get from lying?

good question

JREF, Cody,

The short answer:
If the blood spots have Meredith's DNA, and the light switch blood spot has Guede's DNA, and, as an added bonus, the linear blood stain on the bed is a knife imprint with Meredith's DNA, and maybe there's some more of Guede's DNA from the wounds on his hand, then....pretty darn likely Guede alone was responsible for the murder/rape.
Especially if the purported semen stain on the pillow provided confirmation of Guede's active participation.

Of course, the Italian police would probably argue that AK and RS were present downstairs too, they just cleaned up only their own DNA.
