zen

YOU used the term debunker, answer him.
Denied, YOU are him,
If I am "him" why are you are asking me to answer myself? I don't even know what my question was.

you were attempting the debunking, prove me wrong or suck it up.
I was actually attempting sardonic humour which is the only effort this thread deserves.

So far in this thread japanese buddhism is misrepresented, what more would you like to add?

:jaw-dropp:jaw-dropp
Are you a zen master?

not enough?

Albell - (Understanding yourself, the purpose of life is to help others, right speech is HOW CAN I HELP YOU?, right conduct is NOT FOR ME, I have a vocation FOR YOU, no pain(effort) no gain, mindfulness=WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW?)= Meditation.

Are you a zen master?

you may dance now grasshopper, compexity is on the other hand, grounded, for being hatey...

How to answer an abstract question?

Complexity-nonsense?
If somebody asks you a question like
What is reality, consciousness, awareness etc etc?, is this a nonsensical answer:
The laptop is grey. or
Salt is salty. or
I am typing to you. ???

Funny how “enlightenment”” manifests itself as being - “I know more than you, I’m better than you, you need help, I can help you, etc.“.

Have you ever talked, face to face, with an enlightened being?
How would I recognise an "enlightened being" to know that I was talking face to face with one? (assuming such a being actually exists)

Is the Dali lama an "enlightened being"?

Are you an "enlightened being"? You seem to be telling people - “I know more than you, I’m better than you, you need help, I can help you, etc.“.

Brainache-what is your own speech?

My speech is by necessity shared. If I had my own speech, who would I be able to speak with? Speech is an interaction between two or more people, otherwise it is just incomprehensible babble and might as well be birdsong.

But as to the quote from "Kung Fu" that I posted earlier ("I seek not to know the answers...), I would say that attitude is admirable because it admits that people sometimes are too black and white in their outlook and that some questions have no answer or many different equally true answers and the important thing is to understand the concepts behind them and to adapt your position in a context dependent way.

I also think you should be vary wary of anyone claiming to know the secrets of life the universe and everything, because history shows us that such people are always frauds.

I am ordinary

I am not enlightened. I am a zen student. My real name is Tomek Wolodzko. You can check that I am in Kwan Um but I don't know anything. I just like koans(the present which I cannot solve is WHO IS YOUR TRUE TEACHER?) very much as they help me a lot. And I met many zen teachers, also at home(theirs) e.g. today I talked face to face with Andrzej Piotrowski sensei who was given inga(authority to teach, zen seal of great awakaning) by Zen Master Wu Bong(student of Seung Sahn).

No, but it keeps things interesting!

I spent several years practicing Zen meditation. There are bits that I still find useful and bits that are silly. If you can't determine which are which, you may need to stop meditating on life and death and start experiencing it.
I agree; meditation can be helpful, but the most valuable lesson for me was mindfulness in daily life (I know it isn't just a Zen thing).

I also enjoy the koans and Zen stories...
