Yo! Here be the August Stundie nom thread

From the same thread I linked to in #251

I totally agree that before 9/11 and 7/7 no one was throwing around the false flag conspiracies, and predictions. Nobody could have known that those events were going to happen, even though it was in the Simpsons and all that stuff! The clues only really made sense afterwards,

Man, Alex Jones is going to be livid when he hears that!

Does anyone else think it's cute that the latest generation of CTists thinks it's somehow doing something new by predicting false flag events all the time?

Post-dicting is the new predicting!

ETA: The smug self congratulations occurring in that thread are making me ill. They are patting themselves on the back because they think they stopped a terrorist FF event through youtube and memes. Now they will predict FF flags everywhere in order to prevent all of them and every time one doesn't occur they get credit for stopping it.

Lo, they have found the power of prayer.

So what do the official story supporters here have the list of engineers you asked for, who are not somehow involved in the the NIST WTC reports but who support the present official story, up to now? From what I see it is only a few engineers who frequent this forum. That seems to confirm your point.

Almost every engineering colleague of mine, who I have shown the details of the WTC collapses to over the past six years, has invariably recognized there are serious problems with the present official stories for the collapses. The only ones that don't are those who have refused to even take a look at it, and they are in the single digits percentage wise.

What we seem to have on this forum is a small group of largely anonymous naysayers who could be connected to those who put out the present erroneous and false official story as far as anyone can know. It is certainly strange that anonymous posters are so connected to the 911 fiasco.

"My group of anonymous engineers all believe my CT; your group of anonymous engineers are all shills for THEM!"

The last is probably the significant factor. The biological angle is just an attempt to explain a dominance that's only existed in the last 30 years. Of the seven men who've achieved the 5000-10000m double at the Olympics five are Scandanavian. I wouldn't be surprised to find back in 1980 some people were trying to argue their Nordic heritage conferred some special advantage.

On the other hand, Kenya has only been independent for a little longer than that, and Ethiopia only became a democracy barely a decade ago, with plenty of wars, coups and famine before that. So it's also possible that there really is a biological advantage that simply didn't have the opportunity to be shown previously. Not that I'm actually going to argue in favour of that, it's just that I'm not aware of any evidence that's particularly conclusive either way.

Anyhoo, that's all a bit of a sidetrack to the point I was actually going to make - even accepting that the idea of some people having a genetic advantage for running, it's still a Stundie. Note how he's trying to support the idea of people sprinting faster than Usain Bolt (Jamaican with west African ancestry) by talking about people running long distances in east Africa. Given the genetic diversity in Africa (more diverse than the entire rest of the world combined) and the difference in sports (sprinting is anaerobic and uses different muscle fibres from long distance), that's like saying that Chinese success in table tennis proves that Aztecs have a genetic predisposition to snooker.

It's all about argument from authority. The idea that simply having "engineer" in your title confers expertise on any subject specialized in by someone else with "engineer" in their title.

I forget, what type of non-architectural engineer is Tony again?

No, he doesn't seem to me to be saying that at all. He's clearly suggesting that there are two very distinct groups of ancestry involved, one that has selected traits for fast running and another that has selected traits for endurance running. While the details are more than a bit speculative and frankly exaggerated to the point of absurdity, it's at least noticeable that most of the current top sprinters are primarily descended from slaves originally from West Africa, and most of the current top distance runners are from East Africa.

Well, the boy also cried "wolf" when a wolf finally did show up.

The problem with The Boy Who Cried Wolf, though, is that the boy wasn't delusional; he was just trolling. All those times he cried "wolf" when there was no wolf, he was fully aware that there was no wolf. Conspiracy theorists, on the other hand, constantly cry "wolf" believing that there's really a wolf to be warned about. Consequently, they're unable to understand why nobody comes running every time they cry out.

I've said it before, Conspiracy Theorists are like a guard dog that barks at every shadow - it thinks it is doing a great job, when it is actually worse than useless.

From ATS we have this long one.

Essentially the CT'ers were actually right about the false flags at the olympic games because there were no false flags! You see their youtube videos made it impossible thus TPTB had to cancel their false flags! Because the FF were canceled we know that there were FF intended and we know they were cancelled because there weren't any and...(like a dog chasing its tail.)

These people are obviously unaware that the lack of attacks was due to my magic rock.

The fire alarm in my apartment building is a little like that. It's gone off several times this summer, all false alarms. The last time it went off (at 2:00 AM on a week night, naturally) a few people in the building didn't even bother evacuating, despite the earsplitting klaxon. This of course could have had tragic consequences for those people if there had been an actual emergency. Clearly the alarm is faulty or at least needs re-calibration. Similarly, the fault identification algorithms employed by Conspiracy Theorists are also faulty or in need of re-calibration.

Long, but weaves together an impressive number of strains of crazy. A sample:

What you have today is close to ten percent of the population is Muslim. You have 307 million Americans, you have 9 million Shiite Iranians who fled from Iran after 1979 when the Shah fell—these were allies of the U.S. if they had not fled they would have been killed by Khomeini—7 million Arabs, about 16 million between the Shiites and the Sunnis, four million Farrakhan Nation of Islam, that’s 20 million. I can tell you with all authenticity because I’ve been collecting this information all around the country that there are charter jets bringing Muslims into this country every day for free, at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer of course, people in Washington are bribed, the floodgates are open and they’re bringing in Muslims from Somalis, Palestinians, Bosnians, Algerians, Egyptians. Nobody even has a clue to exactly how many, I predict there are between 20 to 30 million Muslims in America and this fact is not lost on the election campaign in November.

What happens after they come here is that they marry Christian women, Jewish and Christian American women and then these women become baby factories for Islam because it’s the religion of the father. So if a Muslim father marries a Christian or Jewish mother the children are going to be Muslim. Then they get passports because they married an American woman and once they get passports they bring in their families from the Middle East. So what we’ve seen happening is not one university but we’ve seen hundreds of universities doing this and that’s one of the reasons why I’m saying this is very stealth like, it’s very insidious. Nobody sees it happening but you have a process paid with oil money to bring in millions of Muslims into this country very quietly with student visas and other things but eventually its family reunification. I’ve been following this for the last thirty years and most Americans can’t believe anything I’m saying but I’m on the cutting edge of this.

Well I think his more specific point was that we should always respond to the boy crying "wolf" just in case this time it is real.

Indeed, emergency service personnel hold this exact policy. This is why you get into a lot of trouble for prank calling 911 (an emergency telephone code, for those not from America). They WILL respond to your call, and you will have wasted their time and resources, and potentially diverted their attention from a real emergency. It's also why the excuse "I was just joking, lol" doesn't get you off the hook when you threaten to bomb a school or shoot a congressman.

Consequently, there is some justification in being harsh and snide towards Truthers, rather than treating them like respectable debating opponents. They're attempting to incite panic over absolutely nothing.

Likely doesn't strictly qualify as a Stundie, but deserves to be derided and mocked, so here it is:

If you can't speech English you shouldn't vote
Today at 7:00pm Who agrees with me i think ballots should only be printed in English IMO if you want to be an American your going to have to learn English no exceptions. You should have to be able to speech enough English to make it in the US in order to be able to vote.

Please note that this was the original post in the thread delightfully named "If you can't speech English you shouldn't vote"

Almost all documents at the CIA had a back up copy somewhere else at the CIA. It is not believable that they would actually high light with a black pen or marker, this was done to redact information in these documents which the CIA did on a regular basis.
But the documents that were redacted, in my opinion, must have had a back up copy somewhere else in the CIA and the redactions were only done when the CIA did not want the original documents with secret information shown to someone outside of the CIA.
Whoever marks up an original copy of a source or otherwise original document?

No one would believe that the CIA would be this dumb. This is another one of those dog ate my home work excuses to show that information was lost. Like the tapes of torture that the CIA said were not available until it was found out after the court asked for them that they had been available but then had been secretly destroyed just after the court's request.
