Why did Joseph Stalin sacrifice his own son Yakov Dzhugashvili for a nazi like Friedrich Paulus? Hitler and Nazi Germany offered to trade his son Yakov Dzhugashvili for Friedrich Paulus but when Stalin heard about the offer he said "I have no son,". How can anybody think that the end result of WW2 was a victory?

He set an example. All soviet POWs were considered traitors, Stalin made no exception for his son.
As far as I heard, Stalin said something along the lines that he doesn't exchange generals for lieutenants.

Here is my argument - Stalin was a master of semantics, which allowed him to succeed over his more popular opponents in the party political battles. He was a very capable politician.
Lenin was no idiot even in his latter days when his mind and body was severely weakened. He warned other party members about the Stalins flaws.
Now where are your arguments?

Yes America was proud of being and allie of Joseph Stalin during WW2. FDR supported Stalin. I will never leave in my home like my grandfather did because of Stalin.

I'm not entirely sure anyone particularly liked being the ally of a monster like Stalin. Plenty of evidence shows that neither Churchill or Roosevelt liked it. But its not like they had a choice. There was a war going on, you know. And as a pedantic point, Karelia was given to the Soviets at the conclusion of the Winter War. Which was 1940. When we weren't allied with the Soviets.
Its sad, and there seems to be plenty of diplomatic, peaceful discussion about returning Karelia to Finland, just going by wikipedia.
I've great respect for the Finns and their Sisu, and several of my friends come from Finland. So go Finns! Get that bit back, but through diplomatic means.
