Would You Hire This Man?

Would you hire a person who:
1.) Doesn't form coherent sentences when asked common interview questions.
2.) Has been found to be guilty of ethical violations in regards to their job.
3.) Doesn't believe in rational science
4.) Lacks an educational background that is applicable for the job.
5.) Has dissmissed the importance of understand the causes of problems.
6.) Makes bald faced lying accusations of others to serve their own ends.

7.) Completely misunderstands the job description of the position they're applying for.

"...they're in charge of the United States Senate, so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes..."

What I think is that if you really make major life decisions based on spam emails, I've got an Ethiopian prince I'd like you to meet.
 
Hmmm. I'll try a shorter version.

Would you give a high level security clearance to someone who:

Had a father who was a member of a socialist party?

Was a member of a monarchist society?

Was known to have been present at orgies while attending paramilitary maneuvers?

Who, when leaving for those same paramilitary maneuvers, informed family that they should not try to reach him, because no one on the maneuvers, including him, would be using his real name?

Who, in 1988, left a job. When cleaning out his desk, a copy of Pravda was found among the conents.


Who was a founding member of a group that encouraged and practiced Witchcraft?

Who held a Passport from a country other than the United States, although he had never set foot in that country?

Knowing all that, would you grant this person a job working on a weapons progam for the United States, which program required both a Department of Defese Secret clearance, and a clearance that was so secret that we are not allowed to publish its name?

Well, I'm glad the folks who give out clearances aren't you, because they hired me anyway. Every one of those facts above is true and unexaggerated, although whatever you are thinking about them is probably more interesting than what actually happened. Especially about the orgies.

Context is everything.
 
You've been waiting forever to mention the orgy thing, haven't you?

I bet you have family telling stories around the dinner table and at every opportunity say, "You know, this reminds me of the orgy I was at that that time." Then they groan and say, "here he goes again!"

Is this not a current event in the news? We certainly should be concerned about a guy like this getting elected as President.

What I want to know with his record how the heck did he even get into congress? You mean us dumb taxpayers have already been paying a guy like this a salary?

Oh so you don't even believe that any of these facts that are well documented are true? Boy I guess you are a true hard core skeptic. There is too much evidence to me that this person is not honest or ethical, sorry but I do not want to see someone like this running the USA!
 
You're right Kathy. You should be concerned. In fact, I suggest you hole up in the mountains in case the Communist Atheist Muslim Homosexual African armies come for you.

Random email you get != "well documented."

Exactly what sort of research did you do on these claims to make you confidently declare them to be "well documented?" Did you research them at all? A quick look at google? Maybe a gander at Wikipedia, even?

Somehow, I don't think so.

If you note, several links were given to you that do research these "facts," and found out that the few that weren't bogus were half-truths at best.

kathy, don't lie for Jesus. It doesn't earn you any points with him or with us.

Uh because it's not even funny, this election has got to be the worst we have ever faced and no one is laughing about it as our country is a big mess! All I can hope for is that God is turning some hearts around to seek him before it's too late. This world is in such decay our maker needs to come back to fix it, Jesus really is our only HOPE!!

Life expectancy is at an all-time high, residents of the United States have an extremely high standard of living in general, leisure activities are prevalent, there is freedom of religion, and you are unhappy with this.

See they don't kill you. They give you a little red book making you non American, laugh at your bibles making you pray but, they then replace all of your crosses with crescent moons making Jesus mad at you, put a bunch of skittles in your house to make you taste the rainbow which cause you to let down your guard, and just as you snap back to finish your prayer they teach you the lyrics to some Ladysmith Black Mambazo songs causing you to end the prayer in "Auuummm bop bop" and THAT takes your soul.
 
One very curious feature of american politics, as I see it discussed on this forum, is what appears to be serious concern that the nation might elect someone who is in some sense "anti- american". This is not something I have ever seen in the uk and I wonder where it comes from? I am sorry if I am misunderstanding what this is about but it has been bothering me for some little time and I would welcome some explanation of it.

Perhaps this is off-topic, though it seems directly related to the OP to me. If folk think it needs a separate thread then feel free to say so.

To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, "don't trust, instead verify". I don't care if every assertion in a spam e-mail of dubious origin was true or false, I'm not going to buy whatever is written on it without checking up on it first.
