Working On Book about Paranormal State

It is sad to see that the only defense that the pro PRS people can mount is do not blame Ryan his team or any of the para celebs that work the show it is all bad editing

You seem to have the mistaken impression that I am "pro PRS". This is not correct. My opinion of this situation regarding you and your book is not biased nor am I defending Ryan, his group, and the show. I have seen the show in the past and read various threads in the PRS forum, but that doesn't make me a fan of Paranormal State. My opinion mainly derives from reading your failed attempts at journalism for the past two years. In those two years, you have come up with ZERO pieces of substantiated valid evidence in support of your critical claims. What you have written basically looks like someone who has an obvious self-serving agenda under the guise of looking for "truth". The only "truth" in this matter is your rediculous means of self promotion at the expense of a TV show.

when the book comes out we will focus on 1 staged scenes what we do is a complete video break down so you see it is not just bad editing but done in away to fool the public 2 we break time lines down so the reader will understand what they think is taking place is not taking place the way the show wants you to think 3 faked evidence 4 A brave family comes forward to tell there story how the show used them and even more

Is this more regurgitated dribble about Kelli Ryan?

It is sad to see you place all the blame on the producers if Ryan and his team was so concerned about keeping things legit they could threaten to walk from the show you do not not need a show to do ghost hunting or to find the truth about the paranormal world

If the show has nothing to hide why worry it would be me looking the fool but then I do as well as others know they have much to hide

Spare me the sentiment, Kirby. The only saddness I can see is the probable harm that was left in your wake from the victims of your psychic readings and "exorcisms".

So a family says that they have a haunted house. A para-show comes over and uses their house to film. Then the show has phony moments.

I totally feel for these families. A film crew, even a careful one, can do terrible damage to a home. Tape marks all over the hardwoood floors, scuffs on all the walls, broken items from camera cords, dirt everywhere. The damage created by a smaller, under-staffed, underpaid crew would be horrible.

So yes, a family might feel used. But it has nothing to do with the paranormal. Expecting the film-crew of a reality show to address the family's issues, is not realistic.
this I can say they have part of the production team run outside the window to give the impression that a ghost ran by which it did not and a member of the team plants a item the gives off a cold temperature reading which produces a cold spot which PRS loves to find as that proves there are ghosts the family found the item after the scene was shot they also saw who planted it and they still have said item

For the love of Zeus, please, please, please use punctuation. Surely you do in your book?

Ok, so a low-budget television show uses gimmicks to stay on the air. This has already been the topic of many blog posts, videos, forum debates, etc. There is nothing new here.

Perhaps the families were upset that their expectations ("Yes, you have ghosts and we really, really found it!") were not met but they weren't exactly cheated.

sorry am starting to grow old not as fast on my feet as the past should had pointed out the programs he is listed as a co producer we have proof scenes was staged proof was faked so now who will they blame the network i guess
Well, at least you didn't mention paths. Beyond that, I have no idea how this comment is remotely relevant to the post of mine you quoted.

It's even less interesting than that. The only real difference between these shows and any other fictional television programming is that the latter isn't dependent on an audience that thinks it's real.

Never having seen the programme in question, could I not still guess that there might be a certain difference in acting quality?

The idiom, "Pot calling the kettle black" seems necessarily fitting when thinking about Kirby and his book.

Please explain how Kirby's "jack of all trades" paranormal hogwash is not equally or more damaging than a TV show? What makes what Kirby does to "help" people any different?
Apologies for the late reply. So i think you may be confused, i do not endorse any type of ghost hunting, but as Kirby appears to believe that the paranormal does exist, then how is it hypocritical that Kirby write's a book about other paranormal investigator's and there processes. Now, you are suggesting that what Kirby does is just as harmful as what Ryan and his team does, i have to disagree with you there. Paranormal state is beamed into million's of homes around the world and I only know of Kirby having a blog, of which i doubt he has allot of traffic. Also, I truly believe that the PRS team are well aware that they are deceiving people ( and yes i have seen all the episodes thanks to my daughters devotion to this terrible show). In addition, i have noticed that the prey on people that have serious mental health issues (the lady vampire) to increase ratings. They really open these people to ridicule around the world. So that's my two cents worth.
