Wolf -> Dog evolution

Wow. I had no idea we had such enthusiastic ornithologists here. So do you guys prefer blue, red or masked?

Probably because I'm both a birdwatcher and female, I'd really prefer the sort with the blue feet...

That page was a great read, thanks!-Rolfe.

Indeed. I had heard of the work , but not read directly about it.

For anyone who has not read it, this link (somewhat off topic, but I feel relevant) should not be missed- Stephen J. Gould's essay on the neoteny of Mickey Mouse.

Not off topic at all (for someone whose username comes from an early creationist pundit, you sure do have a knack for evolution!). Dogs from wolves is a classic example of neoteny. There's another Gould essay somewhere with excellent diagrams of canine skull allometry demonstrating exactly that point.
