Thank you for the correction. Henceforth I will use Democratic, and I want to apologize to anyone I offended by misnaming their party.

I think apologies go a long way on these forums to restoring credibility. Tout est pardonné.:)

Welcome to ISF.

PS: Democrat (or Dem) as a noun is of course just fine. It's just the adjectival usage that is either an epithet or a sign of poor education. i.e. Democrat Party, Democrat Governor, Democrat President etc.
Oh, the vagaries of language.

Until Democrats insist on being called "Democratics", I'll stick with The Democrat Party, which is pretty much a Republican tradition.

If an illegal immigrant registers to vote by whatever means, then actually casts a vote, how would that ever get caught if not by making them show ID? No one is looking for that. In no ID states, as long as that person is on the rolls, they get to vote.

You can do it in the registration process too. To register to vote you have to show proof of identity and citizenship. Then, to vote, ID would be redundant. But this process seems much more arduous on both the voters and the voting commission. It is much easier to simply ask for ID and citizenship at the polls where they are going anyway .
