He is going to read from the teleprompter, meaning he won't be flinging epithets and insults. CNN and other mainstream media will say that he's finally pivoted to be presidential. Then he will tweet some garbage.. CNN and mainstream media will look stupid again.

Let's see.

To me, the only interesting part is to see if his writers and advisers can convince him to make the speech about the State of the Union, and not about Trump.

A lot of his other speeches tend to be very focused on him.

The same is true about everyone expressing an opinion about the POTUS.

Apparently Trump had a hot mic after the speech telling Jeff Duncan "Don't worry 100%" when asked to release the memo.

Nice little viral video:

That's where you are, pseudo-skeptics. Your company. Although they are manipulated by a nice looking unknown stranger while you get your daily dose of brainwashing from the most transparent paid liars in world history. Willingly.

I wonder what the demographics were of those who actually watched it. I’m guessing it was not representative of all Americans.

I never watch those things, regardless of who the president is at the time. It's a speech meant to convince the audience the speaker is great at his job. If they are there's no need to make a speech about it, if they aren't then a speech won't make it so. The product has already been purchased, whether I like it or not, so why listen to another sales pitch?

I'd make an exception I'd it were a Budd Dwyeresque speech, but so few politicians these days have that much style.

I happened to wake up and the radio happened to be tuned to Five Live and there was Trump, so I thought I'd listen for a bit. I thought it was severely cringe-making. He says three or four words of meaningless blandness and then there is four times as much time spent on applause and cheers.

I would be interested to know how many actual minutes he was speaking and how many were taken up by applause. At the end someone said the speech was an hour and twenty minutes or something and was the longest since Bill Clinton's. I bet the time actually speaking was probably the shortest ever!!

Eight in 10 Americans who watched tonight felt that the president was trying to unite the country, rather than divide it.

So?

They are wrong.

Most people who go to a Blake Sheldon concert like country music.

There's also the fact that teleprompter Trump =\= Trump. They can pump him full of valium and have him read a script for an hour and half but that's not going to change who he actually is.
