PeaceCrusader - do you understand how long it would take for a nuclear war to start? I've checked who is involved with the Spratley island dispute and only China has nukes. China could take the islands without using a single nuke and then we would have days/weeks/months of diplomatic shenanigans before anything else happened.

Wow...dude, you know when I said the exchange wouldn't take 8 hours?

I wasn't saying that the launch would be immediate. from the time of the first launch it would go to hell in a handbasket pretty quickly, but there are such things as launch codes you know, and there's a long check and confirm process. In the UK for instance, DAvid Cameron would have to contact our fleet of nuclear submarines, confirm who he was, confirm the launch codes and then give the orders. That's just to the missiles on subs and just in the UK. Once he had confirmed what he wanted to do, then it would be over in a short amount of time, but the setup for a nuclear exchange would take a damn long time.

The war had not yet started before this act.

Changing the subject does not avoid the fact that that prophecy failed, nor that within a matter of hours your current prophecy will also definitively fail.
