Former FBI contract-translator-turned whistleblower Sibel Edmonds and former FBI counter-intelligence officer John M. Cole.....
With all due respect, folks. What do the mental conditions of returning troops and/or Sibel Edmonds have to do with the topic "Why Truthers Are Dangerouse"?

Yes, I did read your post as well as several of the links. I have seen and heard such claims, and even worse from the wars in Vietnam and Korea. Heck, I have seen similar problems with those who served in WWII, supposedly one of the few "just wars". My comment wasn't that there aren't any issues with people who serve, but your assumption that all who serve will experience these problems and claims as to why.

Sibel Edmonds may be telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about some corruption within the FBI that she witnessed in her brief time there, but it seems that what she has said has nothing to do with whether or not 9/11 was an inside job. Yet the Tuthers want to drag her into their fantasy scenarios. Thereby muddying the waters for anyone wanting to find out about real world corruption and incompetence as opposed to voice morphing thermite Pentagon missile hologram demolition stand-down orders.
In the interview, she says that the information that was classified in her case specifically identifies that the US was using Bin Laden and the Taliban in Central Asia, including Xinjiang. In the interview, Sibel reiterates that when invoking the gag orders, the US government claims that it is protecting ” ’sensitive diplomatic relations,’ protecting Turkey, protecting Israel, protecting Pakistan, protecting Saudi Arabia…” This is no doubt partially true, but it is also true that they are protecting themselves too, and it is a crime in the US to use classification and secrecy to cover up crimes.
As Sibel says in the interview:
I have information about things that our government has lied to us about… those things can be proven as lies, very easily, based on the information they classified in my case, because we did carry very intimate relationship with these people, and it involves Central Asia, all the way up to September 11.
Chechnya, Albania & Kosovo
Central Asia is not the only place where American foreign policy makers have shared interests with Bin Laden. Consider the war in Chechnya. As I documented here, Richard Perle and Stephen Solarz (both in Sibel’s gallery) joined other leading neocon luminaries such as Elliott Abrams, Kenneth Adelman, Frank Gaffney, Michael Ledeen, James Woolsey, and Morton Abramowitz in a group called the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC). For his part, Bin Laden donated $25 million to the cause, as well as numerous fighters, and technical expertise, establishing training camps.
¨Twenty six people wrote reference letters supporting Gulen's application for a Green Card - most notably ex-CIA agent George Fidas, former Turkish ambassador Morton Abramowitz, and former CIA Deputy Director Graham Fuller who appears in Sibel Edmonds' State Secrets Privilege Gallery.¨
¨take a look at the people in the State Secrets Privilege Gallery on my website and you will see how these individuals can be traced to the following; Turkey, Central Asia, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia - and the activities involving these countries.¨ (Sibel Edmonds)
¨Many of the people in Sibel's State Secrets Privilege Gallery are closely connected to Gulen, and each other, as well as the operations that Sibel mentions. Many of them have actively advocated for using Muslims to further their own needs - from Turkistan to Albania and Central Asia.
Marc Grossman, former State Department #3 and former Turkish ambassador, and one of the key named individuals in Sibel's case, is currently receiving $1.2 million per annum from Ihlas Holding, a Gulen-linked Turkish conglomerate. Sibel has previously referred to Ihlas as 'semi-legitimate' and 'alleged shady' - and emphasized that Grossman's current payoff is a result of services performed while he was in office.¨
¨Grossman's predecessor as ambassador in Turkey was Morton Abramowitz - in fact, Grossman actually worked under Abramowitz in Ankara for a number of years. During that period, the US opened an espionage investigation into activities at the embassy involving Major Douglas Dickerson, a weapons procurement specialist for Central Asia. Dickerson and his wife, an FBI translator, later became famous when they tried to recruit Sibel to spy for this criminal network.
Abramowitz, who is not listed in Sibel's State Secrets Privilege Gallery, wrote a letter in support of Gulen for his immigration case. He has long advocated the use of Islamic fighters in furtherance of US interests, including the Afghan mujaheddin against the Soviets and the Kosovo Liberation Army during the war in the Balkans, acting as an advisor to the Kosovar Albanians.¨
You have to admit that they have went to extraordinary lengths to silence the woman.
Until we have the full details disclosed we cannot say that she has proof of an ´inside job´ but she describes a close relationship between elements within the US government, CIA and the very people who were going to crash 4 planes into a country that would obviously retaliate?
Sorry. Something stinks.
In her testimony to the 9/11 Commission
http://www.antiwar.com/edmonds/?articleid=3230
She apparently has info on the US´s cosy relationship with Osama Bin Laden and affiliates right up to September 11. He is the main suspect no? Oh wait, no he isn´t..anyway..
Did you see those figures I´ve posted on the mental health issues?
Personally, it took me back.
Why would it suprise you?? The **** our soldiers see is horrid. It doesn't suprise me at all.
In June 2006, Muckraker Report investigative reporter Ed Haas contacted the FBI to ask why 9/11 was not specifically mentioned on Bin Laden's wanted page on the FBI website.
“The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Laden's most wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11," he was told by FBI agent Rex Tomb.
First: She would've been sent outside the country to a vacation spot to live out her life. That would be a clear indication of "hushing" someone.
Sibel Deniz Edmonds (born 1970) is a Turkish-American former FBI translator and founder of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC). Edmonds was fired from her position as a language specialist at the FBI's Washington Field Office in March, 2002, after she accused a colleague of covering up illicit activity involving foreign nationals, alleging serious acts of security breaches, cover-ups, and intentional blocking of intelligence which, she contended, presented a danger to the United States' security. Since that time, court proceedings on her whistleblower claims have been blocked by the assertion of State Secrets Privilege. On March 29, 2006, she was awarded the PEN/Newman's Own First Amendment Award in recognition of her defense of free speech as it applies to the written word.
The State Secrets Privilege is an evidentiary rule created by United States legal precedent. The court is asked to exclude evidence from a legal case based solely on an affidavit submitted by the government stating court proceedings might disclose sensitive information which might endanger national security,[1][2][3][4][5][6] and military secrets in particular as in the case of United States v. Reynolds,[7] the first case that saw formal recognition of the privilege.
Following a claim of "State Secrets Privilege", the court rarely conducts an in camera examination of the evidence to evaluate whether there is sufficient cause to support the use of this doctrine. This results in court rulings in which even the judge has not verified the veracity of the assertion.[1] The privileged material is completely removed from the litigation, and the court must determine how the unavailability of the privileged information affects the case
According to John Dean:
While precise numbers are hard to come by (because not all cases are reported), a recent study reports that the "Bush administration has invoked the state secrets privilege in 23 cases since 2001." By way of comparison, "between 1953 and 1976, the government invoked the privilege in only four cases."[

So which one is it?
Everyone has the right to question the Official narrative and draw their own conclusions on each and every detail given the evidence presented, the method in which it is presented and more importantly NOT presented.
Who gets to define the parameters of what one finds ´reasonable´?
I ´stumbled´ into this thread and will leave my opinion for what I personally deem ´reasonable´ for a separate thread.
My whole objection was to Von Brunn being lumped in with ´The Truth Movement´ which I saw as a gross generalisation.
I have found quotes not too far from here that were disturbing to me and made my point exactly on the dehumanising effect of ridicule and ´pigeon-holing´.
Page after page of jokes about the police tasering and shooting Jim Duensing. They already had him tried and convicted. The worst of it was how some people felt it was okay to make the following comments because he was a ´twoofer´
Screwloosechange had a piece on it too..
Now tell me this guy wasn´t dehumanised to the point where people felt that they could go so far with their comments?
Because of a label.
You yourself withdrew a comment. Mind sharing it?
Okay maybe my post could be misconscrued that way, I see what you mean.
I was merely pointing out that this problem is rife. And sad.
It was a real eye-opener for me personally. We have to remember too that many have NOT come forward.
I´m sure severe mental stress/problems are present at all levels in the military.
What other ´similar´ profession experiences these conditions?
The post I answered was referring to 9/11 as not having been proved to be an ´inside job´ on Sibel Edmonds´ testimony.
OBL is the suspect.
I pointed out in her testimony that there was a close relationship on all levels between the US and OBL/Al Qaeda. According to HER testimony.
But..
http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/osama_dead.html
As I said, we need to see the full disclosure.
And this is in the handbook on how to deal with whistleblowers?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sibel_Edmonds
Why send her out of the country to ´hush´her up when they can pull the State Secrets Privilege out of the hat?
What concerns me is that the attacks on the USS Cole and WTC ´93 were carried out during this alleged relationship Edmonds refers to.
On an interesting note
