If love is a feeling, and feelings like love are immaterial, why wouldn't someone be able to feel FSM's love the same as gods love.

Like I said, how do you know that "God's love" that you feel isn't just pretend? You don't need to tell yourself you're making something up for it to be false, you know.

This sounds like the way I was queer for so many years, inside my head I was as queer as a 3 dollar bill, I mean, you know, speculatively, in my feelings.

Now one of the folks who has historically posted in this thread would say I was not really queer until I, you know, until the first time, well, you know. But not until then.

If we extend that line of thought to your Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddy that I'm guessing you perceive as tall, male, butch, Caucasian, muscular, and not not even a little bit queeny - what about that temper of his!

Anxiety.
Wishful Thinking.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who experience the feeling of love. Why should I believe them when they tell me it comes from God?

Pretending suggests dishonesty. "Delusion" may seem a strong word, but I think it's closer to the truth. If you truly believe, as many people do, that there is a God and that God is loving, then you will be pretty sure to interpret events and their consequences in the light of that belief. Things are going well. God is responsible for that. God must love me. I feel Good. Therefore, I am feeling God's love.. Feeling God's love is a fairly logical outcome of the basically illogical assumption that there is such a thing to feel.
