Give the kid a cee-gar! I think he's got it. Now, Robert, you're stuck with your faith, because what if it's true? time for Pascal's wager. Once you admit the possibility that all that stuff is true, the risk of doubting it rises. The method of the omniscient one is beyond our feeble understanding. What if all that nonsense really makes some kind of sense, and you only find out why after you're dead? The omniscient and omnibenevolent one has fixed it so that you don't really die when you think you die. You get all the crap of dying, the goodbyes and the sickness and the dread and the pain, and then, poof, you're only sort of dead! You stay living enough to regret the mistakes of a short lifetime for eternity, but not living enough to fix any of them. God is so kind. Isn't eternal life a wonderful thing? I'm so looking forward to it!

The point is, I never claimed that I am god. Or that I talk to him, and he answers. Only that I feel his presence.

If I were, you would be justified to ask those questions from me.

Are we able to rely on your feelings as an authoritative source of information about what does and does not exist? Are you able to? Is this a wise course of action?

If you had the feeling that the President of the United States of America was telling the truth, would this prove that she was? I'm assuming you would not get that feeling until the current occupant of the White House has been replaced, I don't mean to insult your intelligence by suggesting you might think he has ever told the truth.

But you're not talking about yourself, you're attributing something to God. You can say that you feel love, and we can't argue with that. When you say that the love comes from God, well, that's not just you any more.
