Why do conservatives lie so much?

One more reason the story cited in the OP is BS is that M. Obama's position was not stop-eating-French-fries-!, her position was sometimes it is good to have something other than French fries.

What the heck is Conservative Tribune? I've never even heard of the "popular online news site."

Yes, this. It does seem that conservatives do it more, but neither side has clean hands by any stretch of the imagination.
Political lies run the gamut from mildly exaggerated to completely fabricated. I don't think the fact one can find exaggerations and individual liars on the Progressive side negates the fact this is a false equivalency. It just doesn't.

IMO, reality has a liberal bias the conservatives counter with deceptive marketing.

So Conservative Tribune is a liftable media site: Liftable.com says its goal is to find the most Liftable stories and share them with you. It defines that as funny, interesting, inspiring, etc. It has a few other sites besides Conservative Tribune, such as thoughtfulwomen.org and westernjournalism.com. Liftable seems to be a corporation of the Brown family, who also founded Citizens UnitedWP, and is about a year old.

Also from the Brown family we have Exellentia, which is described as:

Excellentia Inc., founded in 2007 by Citizens United founder Floyd G. Brown, describes itself as a "Conservative and Christian Marketplace" providing fundraising; campaign and strategy development; direct mail; copy writing and production; radio and TV production and scripts; and ad placement and analysis services.

"hope and change"
I think we are seeing more of this now and there is evidence more was going on behind the scenes than we saw. Also, you can't blame Obama for the concerted effort to oppose everything he's tried to do.

"I will not allow lobbyists ti influence my administration"
Money has influence it's hard to be completely removed from. Surely there is a greater problem in this area with the conservatives.

"If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it"
This is overblown. The insurers changed their plans i.e. market forces. I'm not aware the ACA mandated insurers discontinue their plans. It was mandated they change them because they weren't providing good coverage.

"I did not have sex with that woman"
Really, this on your list of big lies, as if half of Congress weren't lying to their spouses and constituents about their adultery?

"The most transparent administration in history"
Obama's pursuit of whistleblowers and reporters along with his failure to prosecute anyone in the financial industry for dishonest accounting and deceitful loan practices are my biggest disappointments. I'm not sure yet about the Pacific trade deal.

None of these problems are the equivalent of the falsehoods promoted by the right. And I think therein lies the problem. It's one thing to make political promises one has no intention of, or finds out one cannot follow through on. We should hold these politicians accountable.

But the lies that are more problematic here are the ones where falsehoods are fabricated, then marketed.

Death Panels
The ACA is socialized medicine
They're coming for your guns
President Obama is an anti-American/Socialist/Communist/Muslim/anti-Christ/Fascist/non-American citizen dictator who hates our Constitution and Wants to Destroy the United States
The Iran deal is dangerous
Global Warming is a liberal invention
Distort, Attack, Repeat: The Fox Propaganda Machine in Action

Then there are all the economic lies but I'm sure you'd continue to argue those are truths so I'll leave them off the list.

Both Sides Don’t Do It: Study Finds Republicans Lie Three Times More Than Democrats

Study: PolitiFact Says Republicans Lie Three Times More Often Than Dems
According to the study, 32 percent of GOP claims were rated as "false" or "pants on fire" by PolitiFact, compared with 11 percent of claims by Democrats.

Demonstrate this. Don't just say progressives lie so much too without backing it up with statistics.

In fact I'll thrown down a challenge. Go here http://m.snopes.com/whats-new/ and tabulate the right wing lies vs the left wing lies. Come back when you have the results.

Bwahahahaha!

You haven't presented any statistics, and you never do when you start your tedious "conservatives are horrible" threads. What you just posted isn't statistics. There's no attempt there to eliminate sampling bias. Not that I blame Snopes for that, because unlike you, they don't claim to be doing more than they are actually doing.

I expect more from you Travis.

Some third-rate, right-wing, self-serving "news" site is NOT representative of the conservative movement.
Website like that one generate revenue by making **** up.

You may be correct in asserting that conservatives lie more often or tell more dangerous lies or tell bigger lies or take greater pleasure in telling lies or have a natural affinity for telling lies or ...but I digress...., but there is zero evidence in your opening post.

ETA
Furthermore, in the words of George Costanza, "It is not a lie if you really believe it."
The top-ranking conservative leaders may really see the world so differently from the way we do that to them, they aren't telling lies.

*boggle* So it's ok if they lie, as long as they believe their lies due to their idiotic worldview? That's an....odd stance to take if I've ever seen one.

Oh dear. Someone else who should know better doesn't understand sampling either. I mean, I expect it from Travis, and I even expect it from you, but I thought an actual academic would know better.

But perhaps I'm being naive, perhaps they do know and just don't care.

That's a flashy ad hom you got there. "I mean, I expect stupid people to do stupid things but you really are more stupid than I thought, or you aren't stupid and you're a liar."

I likes it alot

Not nearly as flashy as the OP.

I wasn't under the impression that it was a competition. I'll agree though, this whole thread is pretty useless, complete with the click bait subject. That being said, you decided to participate, if it was just to throw an ad hom it sounds rather childish in my book.

Travis you're already on record as considering anyone "Conservative" barely human scum. I'm surprised the fact that they "lie" even pings on your radar. I'm surprised you accept they can master human speech well enough to lie and aren't convinced they communicate entirely through grunts, pointing with their guns, and racial slurs.

BTW the Navy has done this whole "We're gonna eat better!" routine about a dozens times in the 18 years I've been in. It never sticks.

"Outrage has slowly eaten online media from the inside out. What was once a righteous and necessary force—a check on softball reporting inside old media—is now a corrupt and lazy vice. The outrage you see isn’t real, it isn’t sincere. In fact, it is the opposite. It’s shallow, it’s superficial and it’s selfish. Remember that the next time you click a headline and find yourself getting pissed off.

Do you not understand the sampling problem that I pointed out? Do you not understand how that completely invalidates Travis's claim? Because I can explain it to you if you don't.
