OK, if you can't book online with expedia (or travelocity.com, I'll bet you find the same prices there), call SAS with your flight plans and see if they have a deal that can beat it.

This gets you to Loon's the night of the 19th, you get a chance to rest at his place, then caravan in on the 11th.

If you do all this and absolutely cannot find a roommate on the roomate thread, well, I swore I wouldn't have one but since we tend to agree in Politics all the time. ...(but I hope you can find a roomie, I'm gloomy company)

So, then you have to return to LA on the 17th (Loon is in charge of that) and then get to the LA airport about 4:30am to catch your flight home.

There's a plan. Now you and Loon see if you can make it work.

You are wonderful, Hutch, and I very much appreciate your hard work on my behalf. Seriously, thanks.

However, as I've said previously, I'm pressed for time in January, and can't spend several days on caravanning.

BTW, I've just spent an entertaing hour searching for my passport. I turned my apartment upside-down. Every drawer and every closet was ransacked. I even started paging through photo-albums. The result: Nothing!

I sat down and said to myself: Think Man! Think! When did you last see your passport?

"Well, (I thought to myself), I might have brought it on my recent trip to Greenland."

Great! Then go through every piece of luggage and every toiletry bag and every piece of clothing you might have used then!

Which I did, with zero luck.

In exasperation I threw myself down on the baggy and volumunious polar jacket I had searched, and which was lying on my bed.

Odd. There was something fairly hard digging into my ribs.

I got up and started to pat down my bulky polar jacket. Yes! There was definitely something hard, rectangular and generally passport sized somewhere in my Used-Only-In Greenland jacket.

After a bit of work, I found the secret zippered pocket in my jacket where I had left my passport. Halllllleluyah!!!!!

And its even got the "electronically readable" stuff on it!

I am chuffed beyond belief. My only regret about TAM3 was that Hal might not be there.

At least he expressed intentions of going to the Grand Canyon while in LV, so I guess he'll attend TAM3.
 
Woohoo! I talked to Hal on Paltalk just a few days ago, and at that time he wasn't coming, lol.

Awesome. I hope he can sit back and enjoy the spectacle this year. He said it was usually hard work, so I really hope he plans to relax some this year, especially with him just planning a few weeks from the big event! I know people have been asking for help though too...hmm, there will be a balance right? I'll work hard, I promise...and play hard too.

Sigh, does Hal still hate hugs?
