They brought back Moon rocks that scientists can and have verified and I'm sure some of those were shared (or loaned to) with the Russians among others who would have no reason to lie about their findings. I don't see how this CT is any less easy to verify than all the other absurd CTs.
Which I see Alt+F4 already noted:
Well Luna 16 didn't launch till over a year after Apollo 11, so the Russians didn't have their own samples till then, though Luna 15 went off three days before Apollo 11 and orbited, but failed to land.
Seriously- If I handed you a lunar basalt or anorthosite sample , could you tell them from terrestrial examples? I doubt it. Kitten could, given access to the right lab, which she has. I maybe still could, though it's been a while. I bet you couldn't and you ain't the most unedumacated person in known space. All the information about either Soviet or US space programs was controlled in its release. It's not something you can test for yourself. You can read the reports, but given the basic premise of the hoax theorists, what would that prove? Even the LRO photos released this week might be photoshopped for all we can prove to the contrary.
Truth is, a lot of folk really never gave a toss about the Apollo program, far less Luna / Lunokhod. This includes many folk who are actually pretty smart. They
just are not interested in stuff like this. When they see apparently serious , seemingly reasonable criticism of what they saw as a waste of public money, they are very likely to buy into such a CT as the Moon Hoax without much resistance.
ETA- By comparison, a lot about (eg) 9/11 can be checked by anyone interested- and most folk are interested. Few are in doubt for example that the WTC existed but doesn't now.

What have the British got to do with any of this?
At one point in the linked video, one of the perps (none of whom I recognised except Goldberg), says something along the lines of "x percent of people in Britain don't believe..." before being interrupted. It's the sort of comment we are more used to hearing about Americans, which maybe tells us we are sinking fast or that they get the same spurious statistics we do.

And there is no gravity on the lunar surface?
About 1/6th of what there was in the NASA sweatshop that produced Old Glory.
Hey- I wonder if the line about the "rocket's red glare" went through Aldrin and Armstrong's minds as they set it up?
