Let's play act alternate scenarios. The US cares less and doesn't get involved except to keep England and Soviets afloat. Your posts must be in German with Heil, mein Führer at the end of each.
Standard Anglo reaction. Since you are a self-professed Conneticut autoworker (probably out of work) arriving late in this thread, I will explain it to you again...
Germany was forced to invade Western-Europe after Britain and France abandoned their 'phoney war' and started to implement an invasion of Norway. That is what triggered the German reaction, something Germany had never planned to do or wished to do. Hitler was scared to death for a 2-front war from his WW1 experience. Several peace offers after May 1940 + Hess flight prove that point. Until a few days before the invasion of Poland, Germany was discussing an alliance with Britain, that Chamberlain was willing to contemplate, but deemed impossible to achieve within the British internal climate as invoked by the Focus lobby (Chamberlain's 'World Jews'). It was the US that was medling in European affairs and pushing Britain into the Polish garantee and subsequent war declaration.
Amsterdam sure did their part at putting up a resistance. I read they did some praying that their German oppressors would leave. I guess that allows them to second guess their rescuers.
A grave insult to the Dutch. Holland delivered the largest contingent SS, fighting Judeo-initiated Bolshevism, the largest bunch of mass murderers in history... in other words, your buddies.
Once you know that, 'Nazi' is a badge of honour.
Here a Dutch-SS poster, mocking our fine American 'liberators'.
