Great pic, Spitfire. It reminds me of one of Canadas greatest heroes.

I have the honor of sharing the same birthday as Canadas top fighter ace of World War 2, Buzz Beurling. He was credited with blowing 31 Jew hating fascists out of the skies over Europe from the controls of his Spitfire. Despite leaving the RCAF, he continued as a fighter pilot after the war and died while flying for Israel in the first Arab Israeli war.

I find it strange that a proof of that quality came from someone purporting to be on the pinnacle of human race superiority.

Surely someone who is of the "master race" and is superior in all aspects should know more? I mean aren't those "master race" people on the top of the human evolution pyramid?

B-17s with the USAAF 8th Air Force based out of England in fact. Captain Werner Goerings co-pilot was given orders by the Army to shoot his CO and take control of the aircraft if he ever dropped the wheels on the wrong side of the Channel. This was never necessary as the old time Capt. Goering ever even felt bad about bombing Nazi Germany was when he was sent to Cologne where his grandmother lived.
