Who should run for the Dems?

Guys, I will bell the cat here: The recent evidence IMHO Offers strong evidence that Biden's decision to run again was a horrible mistake.
Once reason Jake Tapper in the blurb for his book calls the decision disasterous is that it led to the election of Trump.

Yes, that totally tracks. There's simply no way Americans would ever vote for an elderly man with declining cognitive abilities.

SO having an elderly man with declining cognitve abilites is OK if he is a Liberal?
Count me out. Sad fact is if Biden had not quit..far,far too late...we would have had a choice of two candidates neither one of whom was really phyiscall or mentally ready to bear the huge burden of the presidency.

neither is ok per say. but one dropped out and one didn’t, and the issue of cognitive decline as a factor in presidential candidate selection dropped with him. and hasn’t come up since.

now if we want to have a retrospective talk about biden’s mental health as a serious issue that people really care about we have to reconcile on why that is imo

That was 6 years ago.
What's your reason for believing she can now? Newsom and Harris are a terrible idea.

She's a two time loser and all you need is the clip of Newsom responding a reporting asking about people leaving CA. He starts by asking, "Where are they going to go?" With the answer being TX, FL, UT, AZ,, OR, WA...... Then he follows up with a story about his friends leaving for Utah. At best, he's an empty suit. I lived in San Francisco when he was Mayor, voice of reason in SF but otherwise, as far as I can tell he believes nothing.

Harris is dead in the water - just like HRC, the Right Wing Opinion Manufacturing Industry had time enough to poison the well when it comes to her.

Someone new is needed, someone as far away form the DNC machinery as possible, someone able to invert expectations.

Every president starting with Carter, with the exception of Bush I, presented themselves as outsiders. As "not part of the Washington Machine". They were all lying to various degrees, but the lesson was there. Yet, for some reason, Democrats keep trying to give us the very face of the Establishment every time. They tell us whose turn it is to be president and that we're bad people for not wanting that person.

LOL. Can't win: either they're "too establishment" or they're "too unknown". What's wanted is a candidate whose history and policies are well-known and popular because they've been around for a while and everyone is familiar with them, but also is completely novel and new and interesting and an outsider.

Might as well ask that panel of kids that provided notes for Itchy and Scratchy.

Or you could just let it play our, see who is getting momentum at the right time, and work from there

I still maintain Buttigieg is a robot built in a McKinsey and Co lab
