Actually, I was meaning to single out the 9/11 stuff, but I never said it, so your point corrects me. There was something new. Predictably ignorant, but new.

So while we're at it: I never heard it was the Catholics who got Bush into office. Even if he's only singling out the Catholics on the Supreme Court (whichever ones they are... I'm devoid of knowledge on that detail). So yeah, that one's new to me. Also predictably ignorant, but also new.

Okay, I need to derail this thread with something completely off topic for a little bit, seeing as how it's not really going anywhere:

I must file a complaint. The cool emanating from Redtail's picture is terribly distracting to me. Here I am, trying to marshal the mental discipline to compose a reply, and all I can think is "Man, that guy looks cool!" And it distracts - Distracts!! - me from the important task of geeking out. I look at that picture, and it makes me wanna log off the 'puter, turn off Mythbusters, stick some Barry White in the stereo, and seduce a coed.

So please... the cool exceeds my quotient (and by a good order of magnitude or so too!). It is intolerable. I must request that something be done to tamper it down. Perhaps a silly mustachio photoshopped onto the image. Or a rubber chicken substituted in it's place (God knows that's hardly cool). Just something.

Ok Why are you not gathering the many people you say know what is really going on, and marching on DC? It's been done before you know.

You're new here so I mention it again.

Look up "The Silent Sentinels" For about 2 1/2 years they were outside of the White House rain, shine, sleet and snow every day except Sunday. If those women were arrested or beaten they dealt with it and stood strong in their beliefs.

Look up "The March from Selma to Montgomery". Hit with rocks and bricks. Attacked with billy clubs and bull whips. Fire hoses and dogs. They regrouped, dressed their wounds, and two days later did it again. Due to court orders they marched to the bridge and turned back so as to keep within the law. About 2 weeks after that they marched into Montgomery. Women and men this time. One of the women gave birth to my mother.

Yet for some reason all we see from those who believe that on 9/11/01 the US government killed 3,000 of it's own citizens, is making a few cut and paste internet vids, handing out fliers if the weather isn't too bad, and big talk of revolutions and justice on the internet.
