Then again, I can barely begin to imagine what a nightmare it must be to try to spin Trump's direct-to-Twitter messaging into something dignified and coherent.

She's already thanking Trump for backing her support for the Special Olympics.

"I am pleased and grateful the President and I see eye-to-eye on this issue and that he has decided to fund our Special Olympics grant. This is funding I have fought for behind the scenes over the last several years."

She knows how to play Trump while trying to make herself look good. Sad thing is, this Special Olympic issue is just another example of the need for the public to shame Trump and his people out of doing awful things. What's worse is that the shame tactic only works some of the time.

Well, here was an unexpected one:

From: https://www.politico.com/story/2019...head-of-small-business-administration-1243495
Linda McMahon is stepping down as head of Small Business Administration to chair the pro-Trump super PAC America First Action...

I was hoping that she finally decided to quit over things like the Trump administration's attempts to defund the special olympics (an organization that her company has some ties to), but it looks like its just a lateral move, from one Trump-related posting to another.

What a lying ****. But's it's what you expect from her kind.

to be honest, I don't understand why she's putting up with Trump: her family is way more successful than him, she is almost certainly richer than him, and unlike Trump, she doesn't need the gig to stay out of jail.

She puts up with it so she can serve the public, obviously.

And I sincerely mean that. We can dispute whether her policies are good for the nation, but I bet she thinks they are, by and large. (She may also have a financial interest muddying the waters. I think I've seen something to that effect, but I don't recall any details at all. Nonetheless, I think she really does think that her positions are good for the country. I also think she's myopic.)

My prediction, Kobach gets the job and in about a year we'll get a breaking news bulletin about mass graves being discovered in Arizona and Texas.

So that's the secretary of defense, secretary of the interior, homeland security secretary, White House chief of staff, and ambassador to the United Nations, all of which are filled with officials in acting capacity as opposed to someone who has been vetted by congress.

Minor quibble: CoS is not a confirmation position.

That does leave me a bit curious as to why there's an "acting" CoS.

It's TrumplogicTM, a 301 level course taught at Trump University. See, Donnie wanted the boy wonder as CoS, so much so that he rustled him from the Pence corral, but when Boy Wonder said he'd take on the job only for a year to eighteen months, Trump, with his yuge brain knew he was bluffing and said, "No. You take it on permanently or not at all, 'cuz I've got four other aces in the hole waiting to take the job. My way or the highway." And when he needed to pull one of those aces, he pulled the Jack of Stupid and said, "Hey, no way this is a permanent position; no one would offer Chief of Staff on anything other than an interim basis."
