Someone on the internet disagrees with me so....

Also wrong. A president or any other official of the federal government can be impeached for any reason the house deems, true. Then the Senate gets to decide whether that official is removed from office. In the US federal government this can be done for any reason as you suggest, rules are probably more clear in other jurisdiction but the congress could clarify what sort of behavior warrants or does not warrant impeachment via law by defining "high crimes and misdemeanors". The impeachment is still just the leveling of charges not removal from office as was suggested in the post I was responding too earlier.

Its a pedantic point, I admit. Impeachment is to removal from office as indictment is to conviction.

"Because impeachment is not about punishment,” he said. “Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office"

More of Graham's own words when he was a Senator, so its his error really. I guess I should've said its the legislative bodies prerogative to impeach and/or remove for whatever reason they deem fit (in the USA). You can actually see in my post history that I know the difference.

It's not about his money (well...) but his judgement. He'll pick a lawyer who doesn't have the spine to tell him the most important piece of advice "Just shut the F up..." I mean look at his current history with the lawyers, I'd hardly dexcribe them as winners

Does Fox and Friends have ads from shyster low-rent lawyers on their show? Because those guys would make bank if trump saw them.

Re-elected as he his blessed with a Democratic or Democrat(I forget which is suppose to be insulting please pronounce in the manner you see fit) party that is in nearly as much disarray the Republican party.

If it looks like he can't get re-elected in the coming year or so, he'll just not run again. I think he will run and I think he will get re-elected. On the other hand, the Dems primary is shaping up to be the Spider-man III of their franchise and who knows who will rise to the top of that giant mass of candidates. I'm thinking Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom will win. If they haven't been smeared too much in the primary, then they might beat Trump. I think the primary is going to be ugly and they'll likely be painted as pretty versions of the same old Dem party by the Warrens and Cortez's which will probably depress Dem turnout in the general.

I'm probably wrong about all of that. It strikes me as unlikely that Trump will end up removed from office by the Senate or in jail unless Mueller turns something really undeniably illegal that happened during the last election. That could happen or might not, we shall see.

Dead. Heart attack or stroke.

I see signs. Won't go into details.

This is not a hard position. Just a suspicion. My primary concerns are the stress level, which he seems to exacerbate by constantly being at war with reality, and his own testimony that he doesn't sleep much.

Not dead, in prison, nor impeached - and he doesn't run. Guess it's Planet X as the only answer left.

I said "voted out". Trump is a sedentary obese 72 year old man. With the expert health care he can afford (but most likely does not follow) he can expect to live to at least 80 I suppose.

That's my vote.

Trump frequently talks about walking away from a bad deal, I wouldn't put it past him to simply walk away from the Presidency. A backroom deal to resign in exchange for a promise he would not be prosecuted for his many crimes could happen at any time, with "ill health" as the official reason.

Any deal Trump makes in exchange for immunity would come with an agreement that all parties won't talk about the details.
Trump will not be able to stick to that, which in turn will allow the other parties to tell the whole story.
This will bring at the very least civil lawsuits that will destroy Trump.

He'd have to be right at the edge of the cliff before he'd agree to "ill health," because that in itself would indicate weakness. He'll have to be able to say that he "won" the presidency. If it goes until 2020, he'll simply say that he's kept all the promises that he made, accomplished more than anyone else in history, so he's done.

Maybe he could do that midterm? "Look, I've already done everything I promised, but it took only 2 years instead of 4! What else is there for me to do?"

oh, crap, I can totally picture that speech. And it would infuriate me, but if it got him out of office . . .

I could see this going one of two ways. Either Trump is going to come out of this with his reputation in tatters, his finances a wreck, and the serious threat of legal troubles OR he'll open a President Trump theme park and, for the rest of his life, feed off that 88% of Republicans who think he's actually doing well.

Who am I kidding? He's totally going to open the theme park. Once a grifter, always a grifter.

Interesting theory. Could be why he's pushing so hard for the wall? His last "promise" "fufilled" so he can leave?

It'd tick me off too, but if I knew that was the case I'd build the damn wall :D

I hope that the instant he steps out of office the Democratic administration extradited him to Russia, where his attempted theft of massive amounts of oligarch and Russian Mob money results in his paying a very painful, but mercifully short, price for an attempt to create a Facist state in the US.
