Trophy wife is probably one of the hardest jobs around, IMO.

I don't think she's really on board with Donald, and I would like to think she plagiarized that speech on purpose.

She admires Michelle Obama which is cool. Is anyone else on Team Trump willing to say anything positive about the Obamas?
You've moved the goalpost here. We were discussing her accomplishments, which you praised, not how hard her trophy life is. This is positively surreal. :boggled:

What the hell are we talking about? What the hell are you talking about?
I agree that a raised arm with palm out is not a Nazi salute, but she was not holding her arm like that. She was holding her palm down - or more precisely, she was holding her hand parallel to her arm. I have never in my entire life waved in that manner. I have never seen co-workers, friends, or acquaintances wave like that.

I think it just might have been an accident, but in any case, it should be described accurately.

To describe it as a Nazi salute is absurd. Absolutely absurd. She was holding up her hand to the people in the media booths. Who cares if she waved her hand back and forth a few inches. It was perfectly natural, and I've certainly seen people do that in all kinds of situations. In fact, I do it almost every day when I'm driving and somebody flashes his lights at me to let me make a turn in front of them. The reason is that waving back and forth takes more effort, both physical and mental.

What makes the Nazi salute distinctive, by the way, is having one's arm and hand ramrod straight so that the fingertips, wrist, elbow, and shoulder are collinear. Anything outside of that is just an acknowledgement of another person's presence.

Wow.

It was a speech for them and no one else. Even with all their obstructionism over the past eight years, America is doing better. They've actively worked to harm the country by failing to properly fund pretty much everything and point at Obama and say it's his fault but it didn't work. The right is in a dark and crazy place right now and Donald is a personification of it.

Sheesh, talk about an echo chamber. This is Democratic agitprop. At least it's gotten a little more sophisticated than simply calling the Republicans the Party of No.

Sorry, carefully chosen still images aren't going to cut it. You can't tell if something is ramrod straight from a still, because, well, it's missing the dynamic motion. I wonder if we could do the same with Hillary. Why, yes we can:

Fair point. If the video didn't obliterate your point.

This furore (fuhrer?) seems about as silly as the "black power" fist bump in the 2008 election.

Why not post the whole wave like NoahFence did? Because her wrist goes from straight (with hand cupped, still not a proper Nazi salute) to bent.

This accusation is so stupid, I can't believe I got sucked into it. But whatever, it's a slow morning.

Oh, so the fact that afterwards she did something else changes it?

I'm pretty sure if you analyzed most of Hitler's salutes using your metric you would concluded they were waves top.

The full video I posted shows her doing it, without question. At this point you're saying water isn't wet and a cloudless sky isn't blue.

Can't say I'm surprised.

His delivery was Pretty Good, but question is did the speech appeal to people beyond the GOP base.
What got to me was the narcissism of Trump's speech. It is the old demagogue's message;Give me power and I will solve your problems.
IF Trump wins, the best we get is the Nixon Adminsitration on Steroids;the Worst the end of Democracy as we know it.
Right now, I feel as though I will never vote for a Republican again.

I honestly don't think that even Trump would be dumb enough to knowing give a Nazi Salute. I think it was a stupid bit of body language.
