What is your 9/11 Expertise?

Why not. Though I don't exactly contribute much here........

IT Consultant for >15 years. Worked on a wide variety of projects for a wide variety of clients, both as an independent contractor and through one of the world's largest IT services companies. Included two airlines and two airport management companies. I accumulated more than a hundred hours of simulator time, mostly on Airbus types but also B727 and B747, during one of these projects (lots of delays).

I worked for two years for a company specialising in avionics and ATC systems. I wouldn't consider myself an expect but I know people who are.

I lived in the US for a total of about 2.5 years; I've lived, for more than three months, in seven countries and more hotels than I care to count. I've vised 87 countries, including North Korea (not nearly as exciting a trip as you might think). I've worked on pretty much everything from LIMS to lift control systems, ATMs to air traffic control, naval sat-comms to AI management (the other kind).
Trained and certified to handle explosives and pyrotechnics.

Academically I have a B.Sc. (General Science/Experimental Physics), M.Sc. (Materials Science), M.Phys. (Computational Physics), Ph.D (Theoretical Physics) and I'm working on a second doctorate (History). Damn all good to me in my day job.

My SO is an academic, a physicist with three doctorates and one of my closest friends is a structural engineer (who holds "truthers" in more contempt even that architects.....

I just re-read that list and realised that there are quite a few names who don't post here anymore. Some of them I see around the other forums, some not. I guess that happens on all internet forums, but I wonder what a similar list from Loose Change, or 9/11Blogger or any of those old Truther sites would look like after all this time?

I also noticed how hopelessly uneducated I felt compared to just about everybody else on that list. Truly an awesome line up of talent.

I am confused. Why would we take you off the list? Did you suddenly lose your education credentials?

TAM:)

Maybe he is the first ever debunker to turn truther....

Or maybe he has realised that there is nothing left to debunk and has moved on to other interests, so he doesn't want to be included on the list as an active member of this sub-forum any more.

That's okay, I'm just an old fart with too much time on my hands and not enough sense to know better.

The list was originally done, IIRC, as a means to prove to the truthers etc...at the time that we were not just a crowd of uneducated farts (sorry BCR, you seem far from uneducated) spewing nonsense here on this sub-forum. While I think it's usage has greatly declined here in 2010, I would like to see all the names stay on it, so anyone reading the archives here, can see the credentials of those commenting.

That wasa really good point TAM.

I also wrote a 650 page book, “Prior Knowledge of 9/11” on the events prior to the attacks on 9/11 that had allowed the attacks to take place.

I have been in contact with investigators on the joint Inquiry Committee, with the 9/11 Commission and the have had numerous sit down and telephone interviews with the FBI, at least 8 separate occasions. Summaries of these interviews were given to the 9/11 commission on April 13, 2004, and I was interviewed by several of the 9/11 Commissioners on April 14, 2004.

The book is based on detailed time lines made from the DOJ IG report with the missing parts filled in with the Joint Inquiry Report, the 9/11 Commission public hearings and report, the account of FBI Agent Ali Soufan, lead investigator on the Cole bombing, by Lawrence Wright, the book by Bob Woodward "State of Denial", and the evidence items entered into the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui.

Conclusions in the book were then verified with FBI agents were still at or who have left the FBI.

I helped move a large printer from a govt. building across the street from WTC 7. I grew up 1 mile from the WTC. I was down there on 9-17-01.

I was at the WTC observation deck twice. I miss these buildings greatly. the cloud of crap gave me bronchitis twice. the air was yellow until about 9-25-01.

that's my experience.

SO was the interview the commission conducted with you part of the public hearings? If so, that limits who you could be. IF not, what was the reason (ie what was your connection to the attacks) that they needed to interview you?

Thanks

TAM:)

Looks like Robert Schopmeyer is the author of “Prior Knowledge of 9/11”.

Book sales on Amazon don't look too encouraging Robert.

Sorry T.A.M., I know the rest of you know what ya'll are talking about but I'm just an ignorant southern boy who enjoys giving Capt'n Bob and the CIT girls a hard time :)

Course, I do have a degree in mathematics and wrote the book for DuPont Photomasks global operations on statistical process control, but that was all before the moonshine got the better of me.

Late to this. I was flying in on a BA flight that day and got diverted to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Kudos to the Canucks for the fantastic effort they put in to looking after everyone.

In terms of experience I did 16 years in the British Army as an electronics tech, leaving as a sergeant (E-6?), tour in NI, a demolitions course that involved handling PE4, det cord and detonators. Worked mainly on Rapier SAM systems (Tracked, FSB1, FSB2 and FSC).

Whilst in the Army I got a BSc(Hons) in electronics and systems engineering (1st)

Prior Knowledge of 9/11 details how a businessman had become aware of the upcoming events of 9-11 in February 2001, while on a business trip to New York.

This book describes how the events of 9/11 had been uncovered seven months prior to the actual event, and why even with this detailed knowledge, there was no way to stop the attack.
(not detailed enough? Or hyping the book?)

Who is the traitor that let the attacks take place? Who is the businessman? If true I will take him to court and he will be poor.

If only one person knew, that one person could have stopped one of the terrorist teams on 911 since he "knew".

This is a fictional book; right?

This has not been up-dated in quite some time. I also think many of the newer members have ever seen the background of many of the regular posters.

I just realized I never actually "introduced" myself.

I've been a licensed general contractor since 1978. I have owned my own company since 1983 and to this day build new residential and commercial buildings although lately I've slowed down (a personally choice) in order to "enjoy life".

Same field. Started my business September 83. Unfortunatly NJ never had licensing, I Just have "dca registration". All my work is residential. Although I have studied commercial/industrial technology and methods via ENR weekly since i was a teen. I can remember reading about slurry walls and tiebacks at our local library around the time the towers were constructed. That was outside the envelope stuff back then.

How did I miss this thread??

Anyway, here are my qualifications.

16 + years as a professional firefighter, most of those in Florida, but from late 2000-2003 I worked for FDNY as a firefighter.

I retired from FDNY to relocate to a smaller city on Florida's space coast. It's more laid back here.

I continued my fire service, while getting my degree in Fire Science. I got my bachelors degree in 2006, and my masters in 2008. I teach fire science at many of the area fire colleges.

I am currently going to school to get my license to investigate fire scenes, as that is my next challenge.

Wow, I just realized mine desperately needs updating.

I've been promoted to captain since this thread came out, and have served as both the headquarters and headquarters company (HHC) commander and assistant brigade S-2 for my unit, and have participated in around three more projects with different agencies since I last posted here.
