What ELSE about Obama am I going to find out about?!

What, the birth certificate wasn't enough? What would you require?

The former deputy attorney general of Pennsylvania, Philip Berg filed a lawsuit over this. This would be one of those things the liberal media doesn't want you to hear... not that oh-so-funny list going around on here.

There is an image of a birth certificate on his website. That's different than actually submitting his birth certificate. Has he? To whom?

This was new to me, until today:

And I found out about this when the guy in the article was a guest on the Michael Medved radio show today and told all about his theory.
Translation for those who don't speak Iameese:
I believe every imaginable bit of unfounded speculation so long as it fits my biases. I eat hooks for breakfast, lines for lunch, and sinkers for dinner.

If top GOP strategists don't think this is an issue, then you can be pretty certain that it is not an issue. If it were, you would hear about it from their pit bull, but this is beyond the Palin.

it was disproved under Regan and its been throughly trashed under Bush.

.

I recognize Shrub (under his other name), but who is this Regan you speak of - wasn't that the name of the possessed kid in "The Exorcist"?

Wow, just wow. Do you actually believe that the security and background check for POTUS is roughly the same as for a Walmart greeter? That no-one checks little things like oh I don't know, citizenship, terrorist links, etc? If so you have a very, very low opinion of your country. So I guess I have to ask you; Why do you hate America?

No, you too misunderstand.

He is pulling our legs! No intelligent, sane person could possibly believe what he is seemingly asserting, which was my first clue that it was deadpan humor of the first order. His stuff is GOOD. :D

What is YOUR explanation for the styles changes in Obamas writings?
*I* have done a lot of writing over the years. And when I go back and read stuff I wrote 30 some years ago, I still have the same style.

If your writing style hasn't changed in 30 years, you should either take some writing classes or stop writing.

To me, now there is yet one MORE thing that leaves me with doubts about Obama and his forthrightness. His patriotism/the flag lapel thing,

Ah yes. Anyone who doesn't wear a lapel pin isn't fit to make national decisions. Got it.

Any more dialectial basics lectures to the avant proletariat, comrade?

WOMAN: I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous
collective.
DENNIS: You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship.
A self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes--
WOMAN: Oh there you go, bringing class into it again.
DENNIS: That's what it's all about if only people would--
ARTHUR: Please, please good people. I am in haste. Who lives
in that castle?
WOMAN: No one live there.
ARTHUR: Then who is your lord?
WOMAN: We don't have a lord.
ARTHUR: What?
DENNIS: I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take
it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week.
ARTHUR: Yes.
DENNIS: But all the decision of that officer have to be ratified
at a special biweekly meeting.
ARTHUR: Yes, I see.
DENNIS: By a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs,--
ARTHUR: Be quiet!
DENNIS: --but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more--
ARTHUR: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!
WOMAN: Order, eh -- who does he think he is?
ARTHUR: I am your king!
WOMAN: Well, I didn't vote for you.
ARTHUR: You don't vote for kings.
WOMAN: Well, 'ow did you become king then?
ARTHUR: The Lady of the Lake,
[angels sing]
her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur
from the bosom of the water signifying by Divine Providence that I,
Arthur, was to carry Excalibur.
[singing stops]
That is why I am your king!
DENNIS: Listen -- strange women lying in ponds distributing swords
is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power
derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical
aquatic ceremony.
ARTHUR: Be quiet!
DENNIS: Well you can't expect to wield supreme executive power
just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!
ARTHUR: Shut up!
DENNIS: I mean, if I went around sayin' I was an empereror just
because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me they'd
put me away!
ARTHUR: Shut up! Will you shut up!
DENNIS: Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system.

Liberal media? As in, that stronghold of loony leftist extremism called "Fox News"?

You can be assured, if there was even a snowball´s chance in hell for that fairy tale of yours being true, Fox News would be covering that 24/7.

If top GOP strategists don't think this is an issue, then you can be pretty certain that it is not an issue. If it were, you would hear about it from their pit bull, but this is beyond the Palin.

They are probably awaiting the court's decision. Rather than simply showing his birth certificate to the court and putting all this behind him, Obama has filed a motion to dismiss.

Wow, just wow. Do you actually believe that the security and background check for POTUS is roughly the same as for a Walmart greeter? That no-one checks little things like oh I don't know, citizenship, terrorist links, etc? If so you have a very, very low opinion of your country. LOL I love America, which is why I don't want just any illegal alien coming in from off the street and running this country. Haven't you ever heard your parents say something like "If I didn't love you I wouldn't care what you did"? The fact is people do know about terrorist links, citizenship problems, etc etc etc etc etc, and do nothing about it. Because the media is gaga over the prospect of a democrat in the whitehouse. Also... if they do make a case of it, they are called racists. As someone who loves my country, I am deeply concerned about a number of issues:

- Obama's ties to terrorist Bill Ayers. And, as I learned today, the possible ghost writing of Obama's book by Ayers - which when coupled with Ayers appointing Obama head of the CAC, and Ayers hosting Obama's launch to the senate from his home, suggests that Ayers is the guy pulling the strings.

- Obama's ties to organizations such as ACORN, which Obama raised money for via the CAC, represented them in court, and gave leadership seminars to. ACORN is being investigated (with overwhelming evidence) for voter fraud in at least 13 states. There are many confirmed cases where people have registered up to 70 times. Dead people registered. Fictional people registered. Inmates have registered. Even Mickey Mouse has registered. What ACORN is doing is a federal crime. So far, no convictions have been made. Given Obama's close ties to ACORN, and this election's rampant voter fraud, it's one of those things that makes me go 'hmmm'. ACORN also aggressively urged banks to loan to minorities who couldn't repay loans. When that didn't work, they lobbied congress to use the Community Reinvestment Act to force Freddie & Fannie to buy these loans and create a market for subprime lending. This is what has now put us, and much of the world, in financial chaos. I'm not saying Obama directed ACORN to do this, but he certainly seemed to help financially, and legally wherever he could.

- The DNC not taking the necessary steps to ensure their candidates have met even the most basic requirements for being president.

- The general brain-dead condition of our politicians. i.e. Florida now has 30,000 inmates registered to vote. This is illegal. It happened before, and Florida sent letters out to them saying they couldn't vote. But they accidentally sent letters to some citizens who were not inmates. This caused an outrage, and they don't want to have another outrage, so they will do nothing about the 30,000 inmates who are registered to vote... which is an outrage.

Now tell me. Would someone who loves his country support these things?

The DNC (and RNC) are supposed to do the initial screening of any candidates they put forth. The DNC are also implicated in this case. Instead of doing their duty and verifying Obama's records, they instead joined with Obama in Obama's motion to dismiss.

Yes, that is unbelievable.

Why do you believe it?
Because there is a lawsuit submitted by an ex attorney general in good standing with the DNC, and rather than simply showing a birth certificate, he has filed a motion to dismiss.

No, you too misunderstand.

He is pulling our legs! No intelligent, sane person could possibly believe what he is seemingly asserting, which was my first clue that it was deadpan humor of the first order. His stuff is GOOD. :D
The first step is denial. I would hope for you that you can make it through the other steps and on to a healthy mindset, but unfortunately many democrats remain stuck at the first step.

And I found out about this when the guy in the article was a guest on the Michael Medved radio show today and told all about his theory. Michael believes the author/guest has credentials and is credible, and may be onto something about this. Michael talks like he would not have had him on the show as a guest if he thought he was just some kook (like 9-11 conspiracists), trying to drum up something on Obama to stop him from getting elected.

Maybe this has been discussed here already. If so, either rehash it or dump the thread.

To me, now there is yet one MORE thing that leaves me with doubts about Obama and his forthrightness. His patriotism/the flag lapel thing, his wife's attitude about America, pastors Wright and Flager, that house deal (Resko?), the books Obama seems to like to read regarding socialism, Obama's associations with less than patriotic people and terrorists like Ayers, who launched him toward the Presidency with such little experience and why? ....and now this: That maybe Ayers collaborated with Obama on his most successful book that helped make a multi-millionaire out of Obama?

I cannot see how the American public is willing to overlook ALL this stuff regarding Obama, and think his economic plan is the right one. And how the Amercian public seemingly does not realize or doesn't even seem to care, about how we might be electing someone in office who will lead us down the road of socialism, and who knows WHAT all else, based on his associations. Simply because they think Obama will be our economic savior? They think?

In my other newer thread in the Politics forum, someone tried to trap me by asking what is wrong with socialism. Well?...with socialism you are turning over many of your freedoms and choices to the gov't. Where will the incentive come from for the smart people capable of generating wealth, if they feel their wealth will be confiscated for the good of the general population?

How can the poor ever hope to get richer, if the rich get poorer?!!! Idiots!

And let's say once that by people not having guns, let's just say, really WOULD be beneficial to the general population in the long run. Even if that were true, which I bet it isn't, but let's just say it were true....do you want to live under some type of system that starts resembling a regime where the gov't can tell you what you can have, do, etc.????

You people better wise up fast as you only have a few more weeks to help determine your future.!!!!

We need to send Obama back to the SENATE for 4 more years instead, and buy 4 more precious years where we can try to figure out this man!!!!, rather than hastily rush him in to office. We have had what now?...maybe 25 or 35 years or so?, to figure out McCain andwho he really is? But Obama?...who IS this guy?!!!

Think people think. Time is running out!!!

Nice post, but don't expect anyone here to enjoy it. Duck and run I say. :( The Obama followers will not stop and listen to what is right in front of their faces.. but hey, that's what the dems count on. The lack of ethics and patriotism makes me sad.

I certainly don't want to find out if we are right in our thinking, but it looks like we are going to have no choice. The Jedi mind trick as been used wisely by Obama and gang.

I did some more reading yesterday and have some links.

In 1998, according to the Washington Post, Gorelick, as Fannie Mae vice chairman, received a bonus of $779,625, despite a scandal in which employees falsified signatures on accounting transactions to manipulate books to meet 1998 earning targets. The moves, in turn, triggered multi-million-dollar bonuses for top executives.

Gorelick was embroiled in another controversy over an alleged conflict of interest when a 1995 memo she authored as deputy attorney general surfaced while she was a member of the 9/11 commission.

The memo, which became known as the "Gorelick Wall," appeared to establish barriers that barred federal anti-terrorist criminal investigators from accessing various federal records and databases that may have assisted them in their criminal investigations.

Raines currently advises Obama on housing policy.

Johnson was appointed to head Obama's vice presidential selection committee, until a controversy concerning an alleged $7 millions in questionable real estate loans he received on favorable terms from failed sub-prime mortgage lender Countrywide Financial surfaced and forced him to step down.

WND previously reported a panel chaired by Elena Kagan, dean and professor of law at Harvard Law School, speculated at the June two-day meeting of the American Constitution Society that Gorelick was a possible attorney general cabinet appointment if Obama should be elected president.

How many of Obama's friends are in line to, "help" out in the White House if he gets elected? One is too many for me, but whatever..

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2008/09/obamas_fannie_mae_connection.html

"So what evidence does the McCain campaign have for the supposed Obama-Raines connection? It is pretty flimsy, but it is not made up completely out of whole cloth. McCain spokesman Brian Rogers points to three items in the Washington Post in July and August. It turns out that the three items (including an editorial) all rely on the same single conversation, between Raines and a Washington Post business reporter, Anita Huslin, who wrote a profile of the discredited Fannie Mae boss that appeared on July 16. The profile reported that Raines, who retired from Fannie Mae four years ago, had "taken calls from Barack Obama's presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters."

Since this has now become a campaign issue, I asked Huslin to provide the exact circumstances of the quote. She explained that she was chatting with Raines during the photo shoot, and asked "if he was engaged at all with the Democrats' quest for the White House. He said that he had gotten a couple of calls from the Obama campaign. I asked him about what, and he said 'oh, general housing, economy issues.' ('Not mortgage/foreclosure meltdown or Fannie-specific,' I asked, and he said 'no.')"

I suppose it's a matter of if you believe that Raines is telling the truth. And we all know that Raines is a honest man.

I thought this was some fun reading.

Yeah, because the McCain campaign would never push an attack if it isn't backed by facts.

Snopes.com
FactCheck.org

Are you really this desperate that you will ignore the facts?

Why is snopes and factcheck the only sites that are to be listen to and believed? I'm sure they lean a bit too... I found some very good information yesterday that says different things and I'm thinking the Washington post can have some real facts, as does other sites. I couldn't help but laugh the other day when a dem came on Fox and instead of answering the question, they yelled, look at factcheck.com LOL... Now when a republican comes forth with some information, it's no good because it was said to be so on FC.com

Ya'll have some serious double standards showing... but no worries. This garbage talk will be over soon enough. Unless....... if Mccain wins how many are you going to stand behind him regardless? I'm guessing not many, because there is an overwhelming hating of America going on.

Because there is a lawsuit submitted by an ex attorney general in good standing with the DNC, and rather than simply showing a birth certificate, he has filed a motion to dismiss.
A lawsuit does not evidence make.

Obama has already provided his birth certificate to a number of agencies, including FactCheck.org in my link above. Obama has a valid US Passport, which could not be obtained without the verification from the State Department.

As for an "ex attorney general in good standing", is this the same Phillip Berg who is the 911 truther?

If they was anything to Obama not being a Citizen, I am sure the GOP wold have let us know by now.
This is as stupid as the McCain is not a natural born citizen crap. To be fair, there were a few Lefty poster here who did push that for a few days.

Why is snopes and factcheck the only sites that are to be listen to and believed?
They aren't, but they both have exceptional reputations and FactCheck.org has photographic evidence of the birth certificate on display in the article I cited.

As for the way they lean, both the right and the left have cited FactCheck.org. In fact, Dick Cheney cited it in the 2004 VP debate against Edwards.

As Colbert famously complained, reality has a liberal bias.
