Rooted in the idea that a wealthy, influential man who was afforded every privilege and right of our legal system somehow got railroaded.
And then of course there's the idea that this "blatantly political prosecution" turned voters away from Democrats, hot on the heels of a Republican House that did nothing but investigate the "Biden crime family" for two years, which happened in the wake of like a dozen Benghazi investigations, and going all the way back to impeaching Clinton for lying about a blowjob. Yes, Republicans and the American electorate clearly have no tolerance for "blatantly political prosecutions".

That's where I get a little lost. There is a vast conspiracy of liberals who took over the judicial system and wrongfully convicted Trump, then when sentencing comes, Trump says "how about you guys just ◊◊◊◊ off with your sentencing", these same ogres say "yes sir Mr Trump sir, anything you wish".
Yeah, the hypocrisy is laid on a bit thick, there.
MAGAs want a world where they can tell other people what to do, and other people cannot tell them what to do.
Hypocrisy is not a flaw, it's the main selling point.

However, I would argue that it is exactly on topic. If we want to have a discussion about what Democrats need to do to appeal to Trump voters, we have to look at what appealed to them. And this can't be done without looking at what Trump was selling, which includes anti-vaxxersim.
It's also fairly bizarre, seems to assume that anyone that votes for a particular candidate is voting for everything that candidate believes in. Yep, I voted for Harris because of everything she believes?

That fixer, Cohen, then billed him over a 12 month period and claimed it was for legal fees. That that crime was falsifying business records, a misdemeanor, unless it was meant to cover up another crime. What was the other crime. A couple of choices but trump wasn't convicted of any those and the Jury didn't have decide. Trump was then charged with a felony for every time Cohen sent him an invoice, every time he wrote a check, and every time he wrote in his leger that he had paid that bill.
A. How is this promoting a condidacy? Trumps voters wouldn't care if he ◊◊◊◊◊◊ a porn star and paid her to shut up about it. Everyone already knew he'd done that with another porn star.
B. How is it a federal campaign contribution? He paid Cohen and Cohen paid the porn star.
C. Just as plausible he did it just to avoid rubbing his wife's face in it.

I know that some of you don't believe but, I have never voted for trump, his policy ideas are stupid, his temperament alone is enough to disqualify him for any office, and he should have been impeached and convicted on Jan 7, 8th at the latest, he should be convicted of obstruction in florida, and should be convicted of something in georgia. The NY conviction is utter crap and anyone not blinded by partisanship should be able to see that.
ETA: also, there were labeled as legal fees in part because their accounting software had a drop down menu with various categories. Exactly what would you call payments to cover hush money? Was it Trump getting into the weeds on his accounting software? He was basically convicted of allowing his employing to click the wrong button.

Do you understand that I only had a choice of two people? I had to vote for someone that I disagreed with regardless of who I voted for. I didn't not vote for her because she was going to run up the debt, for instance, though she would definitely do that.
ETA, in this case I didn't actually care what her policy platform was. This is a mistake Biden made, he assumed that he had a mandate to enact his entire agenda, nope, he had a mandate to not be Trump. Trump will likely do the same, he will think he won becasue people support all of his wildest ideas, he will attempt to to a bunch of stupid ideas and actually impliment some. The Dems will take the house in the next election and Vance will get his ass handed to him in the election after that.

I'm pointing out that you - and many others in this thread - are conflating the idea of why someone did or didn't vote for a candidate with the fact that regardless of their agreement on that candidate's clearly stated policies, they still voted for them.
If Harris was the candidate who was going to run up the debt, you might not have voted for her because of that - and in fact actually voted for her despite that - but you still voted for it.
He has about two policy ideas and the Dems are almost as bad, I notice that Biden didn't repeal any Tariffs for instance.
There wasn't a choice to vote for a candidate that wouldn't run up the debt. So, your argument is that nobody should actually vote because there are no candidates that don't have some policy they disagree with.
Dems have a bunch stupid ideas too, they seem to thing vast amounts of debt spending will reduce inflation for instance. They seem to think that we don't need to cut spending in order to balance the budget, for instance. Binary choice, I have two parties that refuse to acknowledge reality in different ways.
