Moderated What Caused the Plane Shaped Hole

Blew out whole panes but not the blinds behind them, yeah. You guys seen any skeptics lately?

Have you run an experiment to see what happens when a window with a blind is blown out? Would you not expect it to reduce the force hitting the blind, which is also far more flexible than glass?

No but I know enough about blinds to know that they're a lot easier to draw up and down when they're not attached to the window frames, and I know enough about glass to know that if it was hit by a jet it wouldn't pop-out like a pane of polycarbonate.

And of course something that has been forced out of square will still retain the exact same dimensions that it had previous to the event which forced it out of square right.

Rhetorical question, I don't expect a rational answer given your posting history.

It's bad enough when you say a building should survive an airplane impact, but now glass is supposed to be strong enough too?

Boeing does not make paper planes.

What are you referring to, the screens covering multiple floors, or the canvas window coverings that were attached to the frames?

In each example there isn't a shard of glass visible, so if you're referring to white material attached to the frames, you're telling me that you believe a jet bored through there and obliterated all the glass (but didn't fully penetrate the wall - oops, don't tell Purdue!) but didn't have enough force to tear through the blinds? They're attached to the frames - you can see one frame bent with the fabric attached to it.
Have you ever been in the towers? They were tall and the sun beat relentlessly. Ventilation was horrible so they retrofitted the office windows with cranks that move the plates under the floors. The missing glass was probably obliterated when the charges went off.

Whoever made the picture with the lines of equal size superimposed over it seems to be unaware of the concept of barrel distortion, a commonplace product of zoom lenses, which would make identically sized objects appear slightly different sizes within the photograph even if they're the same distance from the lens.

See, just like the dust, the authorities wanted us to be amazed by the absence of glass.

Glass Was a Rare Find

Would you like to re-read the caption for the glass shard shown in your own reference photo above? No, I suspect you don't, because it shows your quote is taken entirely out of context, quite possibly deliberately.

Glass was a rare find at Ground Zero, where these shards were recovered. The collapse and fires pulverized and melted most of the glass from the Twin Towers' 43,000 windows. The attacks also shattered the windows of surrounding buildings like the Winter Garden's 2,000 pieces of glass.

So-called "jet" fuel is just kerosene, the liquid fuel used in cowboy movie lanterns. If you expect me to believe fake whale oil can shove gigantic multi-ton aluminum boxes through the air, think again.

So no experiments, you just know......

If there had been one Trade Tower, hit by one plane and it had collapsed there would be more reasons to ask questions as to why it happened. That there were two towers and two planes means there was in effect a test of the first result, which lo and behold had the same result. So we know for sure that flying a certain type of jet at a certain speed into a Trade Tower will cause it to collapse.

In the same way we know that beyond a certain magnitude of earthquake buildings will collapse.
