What would be interesting as a comparison, would be to show the amount of 'aquifer's' in the UK that have NEVER had a crop circle made above them.87% of all formations in England occurred above an aquifer, and this figure rose to nearly 93% for the area of Britain south of a line from the Bristol Channel to the Wash.
Do you also have a map showing where most of the crop fields are in the UK?They basically show that an average of 71% of all UK crop formations each year occur on chalk or its neighbouring greensand, and if we just look at the area south of a line from the Wash to the Bristol Channel (85-90% of all formations are south of this line) the figure increases to 79%.
It may be interesting for you to learn that the chalky downs (gently rolling hills) of Southern England are ideal farming country for wheat and suchlike. That's why they dont get crop circles in Nevada, not because of aquafers or chalk bedrock, but because of lack of crop fields.
Correct, you need a field and you need it to have crops growing in it.Doesn't look like people are making them just any ol' place.
