I went and watched the Initial News Footage of the scene to see if I saw something I didn't see before and this suddenly dawned on me :

Maybe it's proof that this particular media crew, this early in the event, didn't know what to look for and where to look for it. Or, since the resolution is so low, maybe we don't know what we're looking at now.

What claim am I making? I came here to ask a few questions because I've heard before that this is the place to bring this type of things. I tried to come here once but was instantly turned off by the very low level replies I received repeatedly.

So today I came here and asked a couple of questions about News footage and an unexplained anomaly concerning the Flight 93 crash.

One person thinks the quality is too poor so it's dismissed.
Another says there's just as much footage of plain old trees.
Another tries to insinuate that this video is "highly edited" as if there is something sinister about it.
Another is too busy speculating about what they think I think it is.

Do you not see that these two questions are mutually exclusive?

If there are no other images of it then the media was not focusing on this and since there are lots of images of the plane shaped crater nearby they were indeed focusing on it.

On the one hand we have some CT's claiming that there are no small pieces of the aircraft and that such is not possible. On the other hand we have you showing that some other larger part of the plane bounced and landed next to this guy's garage creating it own small crater.

Where's the mystery? Part of the aircraft ended up beyond the crater. What is anomolous about this, and do try to be specific. Certainly more specific than you have been so far in this thread.

Well, if you want me to speculate on a grainy low resolution representation of a news report, here goes.

The big hole that the helicopter focused on so much was no where near the size the guy interviewed talked about. Assuming the building sharing the video space is a two car garage, then that hole is maybe 4 feet by 8 feet. The guy describes a hole 15 to 20 feet by about 10 feet - about double or a little more the size of the hole in the helicopter footage. We're not seeing the same hole. Why did the news video crew concentrate on that instead of the larger one? Maybe the video crew was more interested in the damage to the home and other buildings than a seemingly empty crater. The other possibility is the other witness is horrible at estimating the size of a hole (or I am).

Hmm - I imply only two possibilities - actually there are many other possibilities, such as this is a carefully edited clipping and the footage of the main impact crater was carefully left out to imply that media is trying to cover up that there was no larger hole, or maybe a dozen other possibilities I'm haven't thought of. My initial point, and the point I should be making, is that the video isn't evidence of anything useful - no anomaly can be implied because this clip doesn't show the main impact crater. Of course if you could clarify exactly what you think the anomaly is, it'd help.

By the way: Which is better news, showing an impact crater in a open field or showing a dozen holes (or more) in the roof of a home from the debris scattered from the impact?

Answered above. If there are few photos of this and many more of the larger impact crater then obviously the media did indeed focus on the larger crater,,,it simply makes for a 'better' image than this small crater.

4) What is the "official" explanation for it?

I don't know. Perhaps there is a report somewhere that details every piece of flt 93 and where it was found. It may not be public though and certainly may not be on the internet. Why don't you(who has these 'questions') request a copy of all reports made by the NTSB about the crash site of flt 93, specifically any report detailing the location of all debris found instead of posting on an internet forum and challenging posters here for the infomation. In other words ask the people who did the work not anonymous people on the forum.
