We Now Know When Jesus Returns

Pascal's Wager is just as valid to any other religion. What if Hinduism is right? You're better off believing in Hinduism because those who believe get reincarnated into higher beings and those who don't get made into worms or something.

If you're a fan of Pascal, let me Euthyphro something at you.

If the Holy Spirit told you to murder a child, would you do it?

Pascal applies to every religion so all you know so far is that it is better to be part of any religion than not since it would always have a higher probability of success.

Except that according to you, all religions that aren't yours are doomed to an eternity of torture. So not so much with the higher probability of success.

Understand why Hell exists. Free will would not truly be free if you didn't have the free choice to eternally separate yourself in Hell from your Creator.

Hell is the perfect place for those who want to be separated from their Creator forever!

Understand that the concept of Hell is incredibly, incredibly immoral, much like the story of Adam and Eve. Understand that a choice between eternal torment and eternal bliss is a loaded choice unfitting a moral version of Free Will. Understand that the failure to provide any objective evidence to make the existence of either more likely than the claims of any other religion further skews the field.

Pascal's math is undeniable. In Atheism you have no edge because you just cease to exist anyway. But great reward abounds if you get the right faith.

Cool, sign me up!
It's got to be better than spending eternity with that egomaniacal sadist you worship.

"Worship me or I'll send you to hell!!!"
What a dick!

Now find out which theism is true if theism is true.
What's more likely? 999 religions are wrong and one is right? Or 1000 religions are all wrong?

Anyway, we're getting off-topic here. I will ask my question a third time: How do you know that the Holy Spirit is giving you these dates, and not Satan or space aliens?

I have all the evidence you need so you are without excuse.

Now you got me to thinking on Pascal.

Pascal said:

1. If you are right that God does not exist then it doesn't matter because you will just cease to exist anyway.

2. If you are wrong to separate yourself from God because He exists then nothing is worse because you go to Hell.

3. If you are wrong to worship God because He doesn't exist, it doesn't matter anyway because you will just cease to exist anyway.

4. But if you are right God exists then nothing is better with eternal life and blessings.

Pascal's Wager creates a false dichotomy. It would work, if there was only nothing or Christianity. It fails, however, when put into perspective with the truly massive number of other religious claims. Seriously, if the claim has no better chance of being right than the aboriginal gods of Australia, the claim that God only takes those who overcome the deeply immoral teachings of the religions, such as Christianity, and their society, and not even a better claim to reality than the Norse gods... Pascal's Wager fails. Completely.

I am using Pascal's wager for theism in general.

Then you need to find which faith is the correct one, because only one could be right.

One fact that will speed up the process is that God is not an absentee landlord, so the correct faith is accessible.

I have all the evidence you need so you are without excuse.

Evidence based on a book with demonstrable errors and failures to communicate truth. Evidence that isn't even as convincing as the line of reasoning that goes... pink elephants appear to people in visions, therefore, they must exist.

Because it agrees with the word of God an nature.

As the word of God is proven true because Jesus is proven to be God by His resurrection proof.
