We disagree about OWS, let's leave it at that...

I'm pretty damn well against the Occupy Wall Street movement and what they stand for, but I think they have a right to protest and it's wonderful they're doing so. I think it's incredible how condescending people here are to public protest groups like the Occupiers or the Tea Partiers.

Dude, you hit the nail right on the head. Unfortunately when you have a group of people who think they're so above everyone now that they're a part of some piddly critical thinking forum, one can only expect condescending attitudes!

I have more of a problem with the Tea Party than I do the Occupiers, however both groups have legitimate issues to discuss and it would only be fair to say that in due time both sides should get together and actually come up with some solutions.

Oh Chuuuuuurist! The Tea Party!

Let's just agree they're a bunch of loons and leave it at that...

Once again, let's all talk like we're above everyone.

I had a respect for what the tea party was about before Dick Armey and his group of clowns decided to represent them!

What were they about, you ask? Well, I'll be glad to field that question...

They wanted transparency in government as well as a smaller, less intrusive system along with checks and balances against fraud, corruption, and bogus leadership!

In fact, do a search for 'Dylan Ratigan Andrew Breitbart' and listen to where Dylan refers to Karl Denninger. Karl talks about how far off course the Tea Party has gone and the original premise was to take issue with "fraud, screwing people, and theft".

I guess JREF is above these issues though. I guess it's all about having a heartless thought process and "*********** the future of this country", eh?

the tea party has been very law abiding.

Oh really? Ziggurat, I had no idea that throwing rocks at state owned office buildings and calling in to a congressman's office threatening him/her was law abiding? Please entertain me with this notion?

And murder, rape, grand larceny, rampaging through Oakland's city hall and various and sundry other acts of mayhem are law-abiding?

The important thing is you found a way to feel superior to absolutely everyone in the world.

No. The important thing is not that I recognize my superiority to "absolutely everyone in the world" or thinking I am "so above everyone". The point is that I find very little to engage with from either group and that I don't need to show any respect for two such movements which demonstrate almost nothing of a coherent message but seem to react very strongly to being dismissed as an incoherent rabble.

If you want to discuss an issue, then let's discuss an issue. An opposition whose main argument is their own self-righteousness is not interesting to me.

Do I have the right to be underwhelmed by them?

Why didn't you mention "drum circles"? Do you like "drum circles" or something?

There's a reason why the Tamil word for "drummer" is pariah

I was going to but I ran out of commas.

There game was up right from the get go, when the came up with all that transforming society from the ground up crap. I was surprised at how strong their initial support was, but true to the radical left's form, they proved to show nothing of substance except providing hours of enterainment value.

What do you have to say about those guys in Oakland that smashed their way into City Hall, destroyed antique property, stole the flag and burnt it and spray-painted "commune move in" on the wall?

Didn't you notice that nobody is defending them anymore? Because they're an embarrassment and liability. We tried to tell you.

There have been several murders and rapes in Occupy camps.

Occupy, of course, immediately said that the people involved weren't really part of the movement, like they usually do. There was also a video on liveleak that had a woman telling people not to report alleged rapes to the police, but to their internal security. Several alleged culprits have been kicked out of the camps by security, without so much as a heads up to the police or public.

Not good.

And you speak for everyone? Everyone meaning all 6.6 billion people on the planet.

So tell me... What's the meaning of life?

To sit here and come up with words like "Occutards" and "Filthy hippies" and the sort is really no solution for anything

Neither is breaking into City Hall, interrupting yourselves causing dozens of supporters to give up on the movement, throwing smoke bombs at the White House, and generally ignoring the law, and whining when action is taken.

And you can't discuss something without leadership, or a coherent message. Occupy doesn't want to discuss something - they want to discuss everything.

And you speak for everyone? Everyone meaning all 6.6 billion people on the planet.

How funny, this is just what OWS says they are doing, speaking for almost EVERYONE on planet earth. Such arrogance, they don't speak for me. And while they continue to claim they speak for me they deserve all the criticism, derision and scorn I can come up with.

And that is your right. However, I don't agree.
