A Glimpse into the Scary World of Vaccine Adjuvants

By Edda West - Published in VRAN Newsletter - Winter 2005

That has no bias motivations? Also appears pretty fact-free.

You asked what happens, I answered. I cited scientific literature. You cite a newsletter than has nothing to do with what happens to aluminum physiologically.

So you're not responding in good faith. You asked, I answered. You respond with crazy. Typical of all your ilk.

Crackpot site hosts crackpot article authored by crackpot. Breaking news. Still at least the author provides 13 references at the end, so it must be kosher, right? Right?

Here's an idea, let's check those 13 references.

1. whale.to? It is to laugh.

2. altcorp.com? Link farm.

3. vran.com? Circular self reference.

4. Oxford University Press? Genuine research article detailing possible links between vaccines and extremely rare side effects.

5. Dead link.

6. Link farm insert for crackpot selling a book. Only available via the wayback machine.

7. Same guy, same link farm.

8. and 9. Dead links, the referred chap, one Vijendra Singh is a big hit on whale.to.

10. No link provided. Colour me sceptical, but Bonnie Dunbar is an astronaut. She might be peeved with such an association.

11. vran.com again? Circular self reference.

12. Links to an index of prior issues of a newsletter. Referenced article does not exist.

13. No such domain.

Of course Clayton Moore, you did check the validity of the references before posting that here, right? Right?

Kinda. I posted, then, when the haters started their yammering I knew I nailed it. They are the purest of any sounding board.

Provide us with a site that provides valid criticism of drug/vaccine products.

Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Lovan and Luvox. Boniva. Birth control that cause blood clots.

So your answer is "No". You did not check a single piece of the crackpot website you linked.

Provide us with a site that provides valid criticism of drug/vaccine products.
Burden of proof. It's yours.

Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Lovan and Luvox. Boniva. Birth control that cause blood clots.
If you were going to list some drugs, one would expect that at least one of them would be a vaccine, even if only by chance, but no. Not a vaccine among them.

Tell us what exactly all of those have to do with vaccines?

...

2. altcorp.com? Link farm.

...

That was Boyd Haley's webpage when he was cashing in on the dental filling scare, which he did before switching to "thimerosal is bad."

They are on the Way Back Machine:

https://web.archive.org/web/2005020...rp.com/dentalinformation/aluminumvaccines.htm

Also on the Way Back Machine is information about Boyd Haley selling an industrial chelator for children to ingest:

Real nice guy, likes to poison kids for profit.

I'm not sure what your point is here. Is it that the published scientific evaluations of vaccines currently on the market point universally toward safe and effective vaccines with known but extremely rare serious adverse reactions?

Or are you saying that someone's blog or website rather than rigorous studies published in peer reviewed mainstream journals appropriate to the topic are the better place to look for evaluation of the safety and effectiveness of drugs?

This was my favourite bit that you quoted in support of your arguments, Clayton:
To deepen one's understanding of the shadowy world of vaccine development, award winning investigative journalist Gary Matsumoto's new book is a "must read." It documents the secret human medical experimentation conducted on American citizens by doctors and scientists working for the U.S. military. It is a book about "betrayal of the most fundamental rules of medical ethics; and betrayal of the basic duty of military and civilian leaders to protect the people they govern." Vaccine A: The Covert Government Experiment That's Killing our Soldiers and Why GI's are Only the First Victims, is a gripping read into the mad science world of the U.S. military's biowarfare vaccine development program which, since 1987 has injected tens of thousands of U.S. troops with an experimental unlicensed anthrax vaccine containing squalene. An oil based adjuvant, squalene has been known for decades to cause severe autoimmune diseases in laboratory animals. Writes Matsumoto, "The unethical experiments detailed in this book are ongoing, with little prospect of being self-limiting because they have been shielded from scrutiny and public accountability by national security concerns." Reading this book, one gets a permanent chill in the spine as we glimpse the "writing on the wall" of what is to come. (6,7)............................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ....
.......................
Long List of Side Effects Referring to squalene in her extensive article on adjuvants, Dr. Scheibner writes, "This adjuvant contributed to the cascade of reactions called "Gulf War syndrome", documented in the soldiers involved in the Gulf War. The symptoms they developed included arthritis, fibromyalgia, lymphadenopathy, rashes, photosensitive rashes, malar rashes, chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, abnormal body hair loss, non-healing skin lesions, aphthous ulcers, dizziness, weakness, memory loss, seizures, mood changes, neuropsychiatric problems, anti-thyroid effects, anaemia, elevated ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, Raynaud's phenomenon, Sjorgren's syndrome, chronic diarrhoea, night sweats and low-grade fevers. (1)
So, you still think that the anthrax vaccine contained squalene and that the vaccine was a cause of Gulf War Syndrome? Really?

Ho hum.

In the post that follows, I wrote this:
I look forward to seeing Clayton happily promoting this bogus argument once again in a few months when he thinks people have forgotten about what happened on the previous occasions he brought it up.

It took just one month. That was quick.

GUNK. That looks like an acronym.

Great Upchuck Nuisance Kid?

Ghastly Unbuttoned Narcissist Koolaid?

Goofier Underpants No Kidding?

Hey, work with me here, people. I'm trying and you're not!

There are no sites reliable enough to slam drug or vaccine companies?

Peer reviewed scientific ones are clayton not the kook sites you cite.

Please direct us to a site that criticizes Boniva or Zoloft. Then we can go for a site that criticizes the use of squalene in vaccines.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squalene#Use_as_an_adjuvant_in_vaccines

Studies led by Pam Asa of Tulane University found that deployed Persian Gulf War Syndrome patients are significantly more likely to have antibodies to squalene (95 percent) than asymptomatic Gulf War veterans (0 percent; p<.001).

No clayton you have to provide evidence for all of your claims you have consistently failed to do so .

Clay, please provide more than a handwave and subject change.

People disagreeing with you proves you're right? And, implicitly, people agreeing with you proves you're right? The actual evidence is entirely irrelevant?

Clay, that sounds exactly like confirmation bias.

There are no sites reliable enough to slam drug or vaccine companies?

Answer the question about the point you're making instead of evading and strawmanning, Clay.

Why are you asking us? You are the one making the claims, shouldn't you be the one with the evidence?

Yes, he should.

I'd recommend reading the wiki entry on SqualeneWP
I have the impression that blogger is out of date.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squalene#Use_as_an_adjuvant_in_vaccines

As usual, you neglected to read the rest of the article:

A later study reported that about one in ten people have squalene antibodies in their blood, regardless of whether or not they received squalene from a vaccination.[32] A later study confirmed this result, and also showed that vaccination with squalene-containing vaccines do not alter the levels of these naturally-occurring antibodies.[26] A third study showed that these naturally-occurring antibodies were no more common in Gulf war veterans than in the general population.[33]

and

The World Health Organization and the US Department of Defense have both published extensive reports that emphasize that squalene is a chemical naturally occurring in the human body, present even in oils of human fingerprints.[14][36] WHO goes further to explain that squalene has been present in over 22 million flu vaccines given to patients in Europe since 1997 and there have never been significant vaccine-related adverse events.[14]

Do you ever read the entire article prior to using it to "support" your arguments?
