Vaccine/autism CT discussion

The adult booster, called Tdap, has only been available in Vermont since 2006, so most people probably not received it. Tdap also immunizes against tetanus and diphtheria.

Neither TDap nor the child version of the vaccine, DTaP, is foolproof. A majority of 522 cases are in vaccinated children, Kelso said, adding that the effectiveness fades as years pass.

I like it when you post things that contradict your own position.

Not all vaccines are the same, some are acellular/protein product and don't induce "permanent" immunity so they require boosters. You're demonstrating an article that argues for more vaccinations/boosters rather than, well, none, thanks!

At this point I can only conclude that Clayton is an epic Poe.

His entire act is designed to highlight the absurdity of the anti-vaxx agenda.

Yet most of the people who think vaccines are not good for their sons are mothers with college degrees.

That's sexist?
No.
There is an inability to understand what you read and cite, Clayton Moore.
There is a bit of quote mining.
There is an irrelevant citation.
Vaccine Refusal, Mandatory Immunization, and the Risks of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases
Vaccine Refusal and the Recent Increase in Measles Cases
Measles vaccination has been extremely successful in controlling a disease that previously contributed to considerable morbidity and mortality.
...
As compared with the undervaccinated children, the unvaccinated children were more likely to be male, to be white, to belong to households with higher income, to have a married mother with a college education, and to live with four or more children
There is no "most" in that quote.

The above is about real life vaccine victims, many with autism caused by vaccines.
That is a lie, Clayton Moore.
The above is about real life vaccine victims, none with autism caused by vaccines for the simple reason that there is no scientific evidence that vaccines cause autism:

The above is a collection of anecdotes that include people who want to blame their children's autism on anything and incorrectly select vaccines.
Clayton Moore's 32 questions ignored for 278 days!
[B]Clayton Moore[/B], Have you any idea what a citation to the scientific literature is?
Your continued citations of crank web sites says no!

Wow, Clayton Moore - the amazing fact that the CDC reports the rate of ASD :jaw-dropp!
Prevalence
•About 1 in 88 children has been identified with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) according to estimates from CDC's Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network. [Read article]
•ASDs are reported to occur in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. [Read article]
•ASDs are almost 5 times more common among boys (1 in 54) than among girls (1 in 252). [Read article]
•Studies in Asia, Europe, and North America have identified individuals with an ASD with an average prevalence of about 1%. A recent study in South Korea reported a prevalence of 2.6%. [Data table Adobe PDF file] [Read articleExternal Web Site Icon]
•About 1 in 6 children in the U.S. had a developmental disability in 2006-2008, ranging from mild disabilities such as speech and language impairments to serious developmental disabilities, such as intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, and autism. [Read summary]

Wow, Clayton Moore, the amazing fact that doctors got better at diagnosing ASD between 2000 and 2008 !

Then there is the Vermont whooping cough vaccine that didn't work.
Then there is the gullibility of believing in a crank web site lying about the Vermont whooping cough epidemic instead of looking for the facts, Clayton Moore:jaw-dropp.
Whooping cough epidemic declared in Vermont
Health department urges all adults to get vaccinated
....
About 90 percent of Vermont children have been vaccinated, Kelso said, but the immunization rate for adults is much lower, probably in the neighborhood of 10 percent. And adults are believed to be primarily responsible for spreading the disease, largely via coughing and sneezing.
This is a good example of the failure of herd immunity. Children are being infected by the unvaccinated adults. There is then simple fact that
According to the Centers for Disease Control website, DTaP vaccines are 80-90 percent effective, and “about seven of 10 kids are fully protected five years after getting their last dose.”
So the "Vermont whooping cough vaccine" worked exactly as expected, protecting at least 70% of the vaccinated children for 5 years.

Any considerate, knowledgeable adult who attends a competent doctor (e.g. me!) will get a booster whooping cough vaccine shot every decade or so, especially if they are around young children (my friend just had a baby).

Malarkey.
Wrong: BBC news report :D!

Susan Boyle is part of autism's 'invisible generation'
Scottish singer Susan Boyle has been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, a form of autism. She is one of thousands of people who have the condition but were not diagnosed earlier in life.

The National Autistic Society (NAS) Scotland recently warned that there is an "invisible generation" of older people with autism.
Basically there is a population of not-diagnosed older people with autism. They got autism before the MMR vaccine existed. This is further evidence that the MMR vaccine has nothing to do with autism.

Not only. It didn't say only. Boys, for what ever reason, are more prone to vaccine injuries.

http://www.vaccinationinformationne...spite-of-your-doctor-dr-robert-mendelsohn-md/

So your saying "vaccine injuries" are biased along gender lines?

And you don't think that's really relevant at all?

Depending on who you ask, the prevalence of Autism among boys is because typical boy behavior is misdiagnosed as Autism. Maybe there's a social component. But if boys and girls get more or less the same shots, and Autism is much more prevalent in boys, that means there's more in play than just vaccines.
