A list of American Presidents, Clayton Moore :jaw-dropp!
So mostly rich, mostly active, mostly guarded white men who all survived to middle age have long life times. That needs a
:dl:

The silly argument by more crank videos continues, Clayton Moore.
Actually one video by American "investigative broadcast journalist" and freelancer Ben Swann whose statements though make him look really gullible (or just another anti-vaccination crank).
He thinks that the "Federal Government quietly paid parents who have claimed their children are autistic because of vaccination" That is a lie. The Federal Government has never paid any parent in the Vaccine Court who have claimed in the court that their children are autistic because of vaccination. Parents have been paid for vaccine injuries unrelated to autism. Some of those parents have claimed according to their personal opinion that vaccinations caused their children's autism.
No competent "investigative broadcast journalist" would cite a retracted paper by an author (Andrew Wakefield) who was disbarred for basically torturing children - actually ordering unneeded procedures for autistic children and bribing autistic children. The evidence is also that he faked his data.

Clayton Moore's 32 questions ignored for 277 days!
Clayton Moore, Have you any idea what a citation to the scientific literature is?
Your continued citations of crank web sites says no!
First asked 13 June 2013 - many days and counting
We can add the linking to videos as another bit of evidence that the concept of scientific literature has escaped you, Clayton Moore.

But at least it is not a crank web site that you seem to not even read: Have you checked the references on that propaganda piece on an anti-vaccine web site ?

Who Refuses Vaccines and Why

Using data from the National Immunization Survey for the period from 1995 through 2001, Smith et al. compared the characteristics of children between the ages of 19 and 35 months who did not receive any vaccine (unvaccinated) with the characteristics of those who were partially vaccinated (undervaccinated).47 As compared with the undervaccinated children, the unvaccinated children were more likely to be male, to be white, to belong to households with higher income, to have a married mother with a college education, and to live with four or more children. 47 Other studies have shown that children who are unvaccinated are likely to belong to families that intentionally refuse vaccines, whereas children who are undervaccinated are likely to have missed some vaccinations because of factors related to the health care system or sociodemographic characteristics.48-51

In a case–control study of the knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs of parents of exempt children as compared with parents of vaccinated children, respondents rated their views of their children's vulnerability to specific diseases, the severity of these diseases, and the efficacy and safety of the specific vaccines available for them. Composite scores were created on the basis of these vaccine-specific responses. As compared with parents of vaccinated children, significantly more parents of exempt children thought their children had a low susceptibility to the diseases (58% vs. 15%, P<0.05), that the severity of the diseases was low (51% vs. 18%, P<0.05), and that the efficacy and safety of the vaccines was low (54% vs. 17% for efficacy and 60% vs. 15% for safety, P<0.05 for both comparisons).52 Moreover, parents of exempt children were more likely than parents of vaccinated children both to have providers who offered complementary or alternative health care and to obtain information from the Internet and groups opposed to aspects of immunization.52 The most frequent reason for nonvaccination, stated by 69% of the parents, was concern that the vaccine might cause harm. 52

Yeah... My wife has her MFA, thus she knows the following.

Vaccine refusal not only increases the individual risk of disease but also increases the risk for the whole community. As a result of substantial gains in reducing vaccine-preventable diseases, the memory of several infectious diseases has faded from the public consciousness and the risk–benefit calculus seems to have shifted in favor of the perceived risks of vaccination in some parents' minds. Major reasons for vaccine refusal in the United States are parental perceptions and concerns about vaccine safety and a low level of concern about the risk of many vaccine-preventable diseases. If the enormous benefits to society from vaccination are to be maintained, increased efforts will be needed to educate the public about those benefits and to increase public confidence in the systems we use to monitor and ensure vaccine safety.

A Master of Fine Arts (MFA, M.F.A.[1][2][3][4]) is a graduate degree typically requiring 2–3 years of postgraduate study beyond the bachelor's degree (BFA), although the term of study will vary by country or by university. The MFA is a creative degree usually awarded as a terminal degree in visual arts, creative writing, filmmaking, dance, theatre, other performing arts, as well as some theatre management [5][6][7] and arts administration degrees.[8] Coursework is primarily of an applied or performing nature with the program often culminating in a major work or performance.

Master of Fine Arts programs have generally required a bachelor's degree prior to admission, but many do not require that the undergraduate major be the same as the MFA field of study. The most important admissions requirement has often been a sample portfolio or a performance audition.
The Master of Fine Arts differs from the Master of Arts in that the MFA, while an academic program, centers around practice in the particular field, whereas programs leading to the MA usually center on the scholarly, academic, or critical study of the field.

Sigh. :boxedin:

Uppity smart women!

Clayton, what degrees do these "college-educated women" have? Perhaps they're degrees in modern art, or homeopathy, or electrical engineering?

Clayton, are you saying I should go to an English teacher when I need surgery? After all, she's "college-educated", so she must know so much more than medical researchers.

Clayton, where's the studies showing a link between vaccines and autism/asthma/allergies/Alzheimer's/cancer/MS? 278 days and counting!

Yet most of the people who think vaccines are not good for their sons are mothers with college degrees.

That's sexist?

Yup. That you can't see your own misogyny is telling.

Also, most "mothers with college degrees" have daughters also at least 50% of the time, and they mostly vaccinate their kids.

ETA: Sure there are some few whack jobs who reject vaccines. They just end up with sick kids, and should be prosecuted for wilful neglect.

It's certainly an appeal to inappropriate authority (unless their degrees are in medicine). I notice that you have failed to answer FrederickEason's question:
Clayton, what degrees do these "college-educated women" have?

And why are they only concerned about their "sons"?

Not only. It didn't say only. Boys, for what ever reason, are more prone to vaccine injuries.

BOOK REVIEW
I love this book. It is the first book that I ever read on alternative views to children’s health and it left me wanting to read even more on the subject. I am an R.N. and know that we parents should not just blindly put our trust in our pediatricians. We need to read to educate ourselves and take an active part in our children’s health–that is what Dr. Mendelsohn tries to tell us. We take our children to the doctor and give them all sorts of medicines for every little thing when we can handle lots of stuff ourselves at home–safely. Fevers in themselves are not to be feared, they are a normal part of illness in children (NOT INFANTS). He said this years ago and now I am even starting to read it in the mainstream press. If you like everything neat and normal, don’t buy this book. If you like a book that lays all the cards on the table, dares to be different and makes you think, YES buy this book. Because of this book, I have found a doctor who allows me to be part of my children’s healthcare not just tells me what to do and expects me to blindly follow it. Dr. Mendelsohn was a respected physician up until his death and dared to be different before alternative medicine was cool.

Well, let’s see. In March, there were 58 cases alone in Brooklyn, N.Y., tied to a Jewish community that refused or delayed vaccinations.

I guess their parents would rather chance the measles than risk vaccine injury.

Then there is the Vermont whooping cough vaccine that didn't work.

(NaturalNews) The utter failure of the whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine to provide any real protection against disease is once again on display for the world to see, as yet another major outbreak of the condition has spread primarily throughout the vaccinated community. As it turns out, 90 percent of those affected by an ongoing whooping cough epidemic that was officially declared in the state of Vermont on December 13, 2012, were vaccinated against the condition -- and some of these were vaccinated two or more times in accordance with official government recommendations.

As reported by the Burlington Free Press, at least 522 cases of whooping cough were confirmed by Vermont authorities last month, which was about 10 times the normal amount from previous years. Since that time, nearly 100 more cases have been confirmed, bringing the official total as of January 15, 2013, to 612 cases. The majority of those affected, according to Vermont state epidemiologist Patsy Kelso, are in the 10-14-year-old age group, and 90 percent of those confirmed have already been vaccinated one or more times for pertussis.
