I got access to Nicky Woolf's article in
The Times (see post
2,440).
It's worse than I thought!. At this point, I wouldn't hesitate to call the 'syndrome' idea a cult and its main proponents conspirators.
These are the two most important rules of 'Syndrome Club':
1) All the cases that were properly investigated, i.e. mainly those in the rest of the world outside of Cuba that could be examined immediately after symptoms appeared may be MPI, but the original cohort, i.e. people who came down with the 'syndrome' in Havana in late-2016/early-2017, were definitely caused by ultra-sound and/or pulsed-microwave attacks.
In 'Syndrome Club', we call the Havana cohort AHI1, the others, the later cases, we call AHI2 (see posts 2,431 and 2,438).
2) Do mention the war, i.e. the evil and so far invisible adversary, that we nevertheless know is real. But NEVER mention the crickets and DON'T EVER mention the recordings. Dismiss the two things, crickets and recordings, as irrelevant if reporters ask you about them. Insist that the nebulous weapons exist, refer to them as a fact, not as a theory or a hypothesis, even though no weapon was never seen, heard or detected in Havana or at any of the other scenes of alleged AHIs.
In the article, Nicky Woolf quotes James Giordano saying:
“At this point, as you can imagine, it’s beyond any shadow of doubt that there was exposure to some forms of directable energy ... We know that these devices exist.”
At this place an investigative reporter would ask what forms or directable energy exactly? If it's actually
beyond any shadow of doubt, one would expect Giordano to be able to tell, but Woolf is not an investigative reporter, so instead he adds:
However ten years ago, that fact was far from evident.
And with this spoiler, Woolf has already given away his conclusion.
What follows is the origin story, i.e. Patient Zero coming down with the 'syndrome':
The first indication that something weird was happening came on December 30, 2016. The staff member at the embassy in Havana — who we now know was a CIA employee, though his identity has never been revealed — reported a sudden feeling of intense pressure in his head, accompanied by a loud buzzing sound. By the next day he was dizzy, nauseous and having trouble focusing.
The real
name of Patient Zero may never have been revealed, but considering the alleged secrecy surrounding him, it's surprising how often he pops up on TV! He has been on CBS
60 Minutes, and if you want to see him for yourself, you can also see and hear him in the recent two-hour-long interview I linked to in post
2,439. So much for his identity never having been revealed.
Nicky Woolf follows the rules and never mentions crickets, recordings or the
actual fact that Patient Zero ('Adam' in Woolf's article) told his colleagues about the alleged attack the next day at the New Year's Eve party at the U.S. embassy in Havana and played his recording of the crickets.
Woolf continues:
Over the next few months, more and more employees at the embassy reported the same thing, and there were 24 confirmed cases by August. By autumn, similar cases had been reported in Vienna, Hanoi and Guangzhou.
I highlighted
August and
autumn because Woolf makes the following claim a little later when he wants to refute mass psychogenic illness as the cause of the alleged syndrome:
But this kind of definitive approach remains problematic, not least because many of the early cases didn’t know about each other.
This is why Woolf can't mention that Patient Zero started the panic on Dec 31, 2016! (It's a real
Adam and (New Year's)
Eve story! Sorry, I couldn't help myself.) Not every embassy employee had to know Patient Zero personally to come down with the 'syndrome' the mass psychogenetic way! We are not talking about nuns at at monastery in the Middle Ages. The
story about the attack was everywhere at the embassy, it was deliberately spread even to Canadian diplomats, and by early-August it had already had consequences for U.S. diplomatic relations with Cuba:
Cuban Diplomats Expelled After U.S. Embassy Staff 'Incidents' in Havana (NPR,
Aug 9, 2017)
So everybody remotely connected with diplomacy or the CIA would have known about the 'syndrome' in early August, 2017. I posted t
he OP of this thread on Sep 17, 2017!
In spite of having talked with Richard Bartholomew, Nicky Woolf ignores his arguments against the microwave-attack theory, and concludes that:
it’s totally reasonable to suggest there was an attack or series of attacks in which a device was deployed, and once the story went global that triggered a mass psychogenic event as well.
So the Havana cohort, AHI1, were legit microwave attacks, and the rest (more or less), AHI2, may have been MPI, according to Woolf.
Except for the
fact that we
know how the story of the alleged attack spread among embassy staff and CIA agents in Havana, we have
heard the recordings (there are at least 8) of the alleged attacks, and we
know what made the sound recorded by the 'syndrome' victims.
And we can
see, in black and white, that Nicky and his co-conspirators are in denial of those facts and pretend that they don't exist.
But Nicky Woolf no longer has to be concerned about any of that because the 'syndrome' conspiracists are on a roll, and there's a new opportunity on the horizon, thanks to the Trump administration's war against Venezuela:
And intriguingly, in an interview talking about the recent attack in which the US captured the Venezuelan president
Nicolás Maduro, Trump referred to the use of a weapon he called the “discombobulator” then added: “I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
Nothing indicates that the
"discombobulator" or something similar was what caused the 'syndrome' in Havana. Whatever the weapons used in Venezuela were, they appear to have taken out people instantly. There are no reports of the Venezuelan and/or Cuban victims having time to wonder what was going on or to consider recording it on their phones!
Three years on from my investigation into Havana Syndrome, it is both fascinating and gratifying to see these new details finally emerge. I was confident that evidence pointed to a directed energy weapon but was less so that the intelligence community would ever acknowledge or confirm what really happened. They still haven’t yet — but it feels like a tipping-point is approaching when they will no longer have any choice.
I bet there is nothing more gratifying to a guy like Woolf than a military attack that strengthens his confidence in his wacko 'syndrome' idea. And since Trump came to power and started waging wars and planning for more - the one against Cuba in particular - his installation of people like Kash Patel (FBI), John Ratcliffe (CIA) and Tulsi Gabbard (DNI) as directors of the U.S. intelligence agencies means that the intelligence community will indeed be much more likely to acknowledge or confirm whatever Trump and Marco Rubio want them to confirm: that Cuba's
Direction de Inteligencia microwaved the brains of U.S. diplomats in Havana or at least let Russian GRU Unit 29155 agents do so.
And the people working for those agencies will indeed
"no longer have any choice" - or a rather unpleasant one:
Acknowledge that it's
beyond any shadow of doubt that pulsed ray guns were used to attack U.S. staff in Havana!
Or
you're fired!
