Actually, back then, a UFO was known as a:

GSTRLBWF Pronounced /gis-ter-lib-wif/

since any flying object other than a bird, bat or insect, was considered to be kind of a silly notion.

I wonder if Tom Skylark has been reading a few recent threads on the GH message boards, where my scepticism is regarded as narrow-minded refusal to consider their 'evidence' as credible.

I learnt to type in the 1950s when correct punctuation included all the full stops, commas, etc, then in the 1970s I began to teach it ... and found that 'open punctuation' was the thing. This was shocking at first, of course, but it didn't take long to realise how much better letters looked in this new style.

Leaving out full stops after Mr, Co Ltd, the commas after Dear Mrs Smith, Yours sincerely, etc, not indenting paragraphs, or lines of address.

Punctuation and grammar is certainly a lot more flexible than I was taught at school. It's commonplace to see sentences, even paragraphs, beginning with "and" or "but" now, for instance. And while I'm horrified, at the same time I find it strangely liberating when I do it myself.

You can't just make a UFO post without providing some type of reference. I understand that you may not have evidence to support this, but No reference what so ever?? No link, individual, book, magazine article, anything. Even if it is something which you believe was mentioned in the Bible, tell us what page so that we can all have a look.

Here is the scoop, UFOs most certainly did appear to ancient Egyptians, just as they have for every human that has seen one throughout history to the present day. That whole Moses crap? Not so much.
What is the problem with the "Unidentified" part of UFO. Unidentified does not mean aliens.

Shocking. With such bad grammar, spelling mistakes, punctuation and terrible sentence structure you were allowed to teach?

What were you teaching? How to say "Want fries with that?"
