UFO's Appeared in Ancient Egypt

Actually, I suspect there were a lot of Unidentified Flying Objects in Ancient Egypt. But if you're going to try to tell me that some of them should have been identified as alien vessels, I'm going to demand a whole lot of really hard evidence! :)

The real puzzle is this: was this thread started as a drive-by trolling or do we have a genuine Confused Person here?

No, there weren't.

Thutmose I was her father, Thutmose II was her husband and half-brother.

HER full names and titles were: Maatkare (prenomen) Khnumt-Amun Hatshepsut (nomen) Wesretkau (Horus Name) Wadjrenpuf (Two Ladies Name) Netjeretkhau (Golden Horus Name.) These are well attested on her monuments (I've seen the names on her sarcophagus and on other artifacts from her reign.)

Her only child was the princess Neferure.

Wikipedia has the basics, but there's a huge amount of detail on the woman and none of it matches up with the Exodus story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatshepsut
Who ya gonna believe? People who carved the big stuff in stone or one's who wrote it down in multiple ways that conflicted with each other.

"Actually, I'm secretly not certain about this God fellow!", Tom said atheistically.

Then, swiftly, he broke into a snippet of the Hallelujah Chorus. And, right on it's heels he screamed righteously "Just kidding, big fella!!"

There were UFO's which appeared in Thutmose III reign shortly after queen Hatshepsut had died. Queen Hatshepsut called princess Thutmuthis by the ancient historian Josephus came from the Thutmosis family and she was the princess who saved the infant Moses who would lead his people out of Egypt in the Exodus.

How come we don't have any hieroglyphics of Bigfoot in the great pyramids at Giza? Hmm?

wait for it...

While researching the thread title and ancient Egypt, i stumbled upon MY thread title.
What in the....!?
Do we have to start rethinking about Erich von Däniken?
Happy googling. Type in my exact title how it looks above. Fascinating.

I wonder if Tom Skylark has been reading a few recent threads on the GH message boards, where my scepticism is regarded as narrow-minded refusal to consider their 'evidence' as credible.:)

<snip>

There have been UFOs for as long as there have been people around who were unable to identify things in the sky.

The Sun, Moon and stars were effectively UFOs as far as the ancient Egyptians were concerned, although they did come up with some wonderfully creative explanations.

Not like the dullards that you get these days.
