UFO's Appeared in Ancient Egypt

Is a Skylark a kind of seagull?

It happens to be a very nice vintage car.

Not to be confused with a Pontiac Tempest. No Positraction after all.

Yes, that was my impression, too.
So which Pharaoh can actually be a candidate for the "Exodus" Pharaoh?

ETA
Let's keep in mind it must be a Pharaoh who ruled after the introduction of chariots into Egyptian warfare, of course.

None of them, actually.
* Hebrews were never in Egypt in large numbers. We do know that Ramses had some of them building his city, Pi-Ramesses ... however, he's 19th dynasty and that would throw the timeline off by a couple of centuries.
* You could argue for Ramses I, but he apparently died of old age after a very short reign.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi-Ramesses#Biblical_Ramesses
* There are no records of a widespread plague that quickly killed all the first born of the land.
* Few of the pharaohs died in battle.
* Some important noblemen were known as "son of the pharaoh" -- so if there was a real Moses, he *might* have held a title of "son" ("son of my body" is the title used for male children sired by a man or birthed by a woman)

Biblical archaeologists and others have been trying unsuccessfully for centuries to tie Exodus to any event in Egyptian history. So far, "no soap." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Exodus#Date

I think Pyrts pretty much sums up the futility of even bothering to consider fictional manuscripts like the Bible for reports of UFO's.

While researching the thread title and ancient Egypt, i stumbled upon MY thread title.
What in the....!?
Do we have to start rethinking about Erich von Däniken?
Happy googling. Type in my exact title how it looks above. Fascinating.

No, no we do not - we have him and his followers pegged quite nicely.

I've surfed the web for years, reading a good many attempts to put a name to the Exodus' Pharaoh* and viewing far too many videos that purported to explain it all, but I never thought to wiki the subject.

*Here's a good example of its kind

"Grammar for Grown-Ups" by Craig Shrives and Mr Shrives says "the plurals of abbreviations, letters and numbers can be written using apostrophes". He also says that raising this subject is a good way of starting a fight among grammarians!

In "Eats, Shoots and Leaves" by Lynne Truss, Ms Truss says that the apostrophe "s" form for dates (e.g. "1920's") was used until recently in the UK and is still used in the USA

"Swan’s Practical English Usage" agrees with Ms Truss and Mr Shrives in saying that an apostrophe “is sometimes used before the s in the plurals of abbreviations

As part of my job I use acronyms all the time and putting an apostrophe between a [plural] acronym and the final "s" helps avoid confusion by making it clear the "s" isn't part of the acronym itself.

Using an apostrophe for the "posessive" form of "it's" (as in "... right on it's heels he screamed righteously...") on the other hand deserves the highest sanction the law can bring to bear.

I learnt to type in the 1950s when correct punctuation included all the full stops, commas, etc, then in the 1970s I began to teach it ... and found that 'open punctuation' was the thing. This was shocking at first, of course, but it didn't take long to realise how much better letters looked in this new style.

Unexplained objects in the sky are common however many can be explained away as natural phenomena. UFO'S are so common in south america that they no longer make the news. These UFO'S are usually seen after tectonic activity and some scientists refer to the objects as "Plasma energy"

UFO'S are often seen after earthquakes. They don't come from other planets. Odd phenomena but not extraterrestrial or supernatural.
