what statement is that, the one where you claimed there is evidence of ufos throughout history and were proved wrong or the one where you claimed you knew more about different cultures than the cultures themselves did which has also been proved wrong
or did you mean your opinion. That is not evidence when its never been proven valid either
'I' have seen, with a friend in-tow, "U.F.O.'s". I detailed the event here, sometime ago.
I can't say what they were, where they came from, or what their purpose is. I can only say that they performed feats that 'human pilots' couldn't. At one point 2 craft joined together, made one big object, and then split back apart.
....
I don't have 'proof' of anything regarding God/god(s), but I DO have a butt load of 'weak' evidence.

Damn, UFOs do all this really neat stuff when there are no cameras around.![]()
Hey, KotA, just because we started on a fresh page does not mean the other posts are not there!
Yup, gave you a line of reasoning and a thought experiment back.Did you make an argument I missed?
you are wrong but youre also cherry picking which in academic terms is akin to lying through your teethHere's a better link to Druid stuff:
http://www.adf.org/about/beliefs.html
The link you provided starts by saying:
"...according to the limited accounts which have survived."
VERY limited, it would seem.
Pagans worship earth, fire, air, and water...I thought. Worshipping the creation, rather than the creator. Mother Earth is their main God... Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Gaia is wiccan, not druidicDruids were Sun worshippers according to the limited accounts which have survived. Their name means ‘Knowing the Oak Tree’ and the oak was a Druidic symbol of the sun
The Irish words, pronounced "arn ree-ocht fane", mean "Our Own Druidism", and that's just what ADF is - a completely independent tradition of Neopagan Druidism.
Exactamundo.
And that is why it needs more than conjecture and circumstantial evidence to call those images something else than what the original painters thought them to be.
Don't you find it strange that, much in line with the pareidolia phenomenon, we began to see UFO's in those paintings AFTER we imagined what they would be like?
Here's a thought experiment for you:
How about if Hollywood had made them cubes like the Borg cubes? How much evidence would you find then in old paintings? My guess is quite a lot.
Or how about if we had used fully enclosed vehicles like in '2001' to roam through space and rove across the moon? What evidence would you find then?
Or how about we would have gone into space the way Rutan/Virgin Galactic is doing? How many people would have pointed to the 'sound of a 1000 waterfalls' mentioned in the bible then?
"...'things' that are in heaven/the sky", is a pretty broad description, of the common theme I am pointing to as my weak evidence. They come in LOTS of different forms, but they all feature this flying heavenly "god" or angels...sometimes they are firey chariots, sometimes they are beaming clouds, silvery saucers, or simply winged agents. Some appear as actual craft with pilots inside.
They aren't 'one' specific thing...or rather they aren't one thing that has been specified.
Even the photographed images, or video clips we have, are blurry and or too non-specific to define them clearly.
What 'I' saw wasn't something I could sculpt or even draw accurately. The edges weren't clearly defined, and it was nearing dusk. What I saw was star-like but changed colors.
Were I to show someone what I saw, I am certain it wouldn't be an entirely accurate portrayal. Given my artistic skill, you'd see a couple of stick figures, looking skyward with mouthes wide open :O. In the sky you'd see star-looking objects, some zooming to another place and stopping, some making right angle turns, and two combining to make a really big version. Therein you'd have "U.F.O's" by me.
What would you make of such a piece?
OK. So what direction in the sky was it? How high above the horizon? Date? Time of day? Location? Length of time visible. And etc.
Without this information, no conclusion can be draw about what you saw.
But it isn't, even if they DO think so.
It is JUST a pineapple. It doesn't fly, give forth shrooms, or forgive sins.
I don't have 'proof' of anything regarding God/god(s), but I DO have a butt load of 'weak' evidence.
I'm going to refer to my original post, it was some years ago.
I'm no longer certain of the actual date... I didn't bother reporting it to any agency.
We were in "Fob Bottom", the name given to the Red River valley/bottom, in Cooke County, North Texas. We were on the Texas side of the river looking North. Nearing dusk...
The action started out no more 15 to 20 degrees above the horizon, but when the smaller objects emerged they moved all over the northern portion of the sky.
Period of time they were visible...15-30 minutes, at least.
As I said, I made a detailed post about this some years ago...
What would you make of such a piece?
I've empirical evidence to the contrary.
While skeptics do not attribute the alien explanation to ufo's, do they ever consider, or even praise explanations such as: Plasma Vortex's, Ball Lightning, Sprites, etc?
But Laroo is always the pineapple. Laroo is not your car, or you, or a passing cat. Laroo is an identifier for the pineapple. Laroo may not actually have the properties they think it has, but that doesn't affect the fact that Laroo identifies the pineapple.
