Vance is supposed to be a catholic*. Bringing about the end times is not a catholic thing. In fact, catholics don't talk too much aboutthe end times as they know it's a massive turn off for potential converts.
*He's actually trad-cath, who are a bunch of far-righ fundagelicals who thought it'd be easier to gain positions of power if they switched to catholicism. They changed none of their beliefs and never bothered learning about the denomination they were switching to.
