Trump's Second Term

If she is one of the more sane people in his immediate retinue, the rest of them must be barking ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ mad, absolutely psycho, with Trump being the worst of all. The USA is truly being run from inside the madhouse...

When the sitting President and Commander in Chief of the United States is delusional, there is no 'Outside the Madhouse'.

Forget Punxsutawney Phil, now we have Manhattan Melania. Ugh, every time she shows up we have six more weeks of fascism.

I've always kinda figured they never took his name off. That's why the tarps stayed up.

If only there was a name for a condition like this.

Megalomania is a psychological condition and behavioral pattern marked by delusions of grandeur, an obsessive craving for power and control, and an inflated sense of self-importance.
Key Characteristics
Delusions of grandeur: Believing you are omnipotent, all-powerful, or destined for cosmic importance.
Obsession with control: A relentless drive to acquire wealth, fame, or total authority.
Lack of empathy: Treating other people as mere tools or objects to achieve grand plans.
Inability to admit fault: Refusing to accept mistakes or acknowledge reality when it contradicts an idealized self-image.

From the sounds of it - yes and she also puts them in places he will find them - such as his make-up bag.
I just don't see Trump reading anything that long. I mean, it's multi-sentence paragraphs! No bullet points! He must hand them to someone else to summarize for him, if he engages with such communication at all.

Poor woman. I hope she gets the help she needs - which I doubt she'll get if she stays close to the object of her obsession, who is in even worse mental health.
She sounds exactly like a lovelorn cult member. I do feel sorry for her; he will never even come close to living up to her image of him, and he will happily throw her to the wolves, if he feels there is something to gain from it. She's hitched her wagon to a dwarf star.

I'm thinking of those members of the Manson Family who were loyal to him until the day they died.

I am not sure if this was you writing this as your own thoughts, quoting something you saw (without giving a reference) or you doing a parody of right-wing talking points. (The 'greatest president' part makes me think it was not real.) But I will respond as if it were real.
Why would a carrier been named after an enlisted low rank soldier? Oh. I get it.
He shot down one plane. He doesn’t deserve air craft carrier naming. John Finn didn’t even receive that. Stop pandering to DEI.
Nobody else wants to say it. Naming a ship after a black mess steward because he reacted with bravery during an attack on his ship feels like pandering. Sailors are supposed to react with bravery during battles
The Fact is selecting Miller was NOT in keeping with tradition
There were hundreds if not thousands of white sailors who were just as if not more brave that day, they got nothing.
True, there were plenty of white sailors who acted bravely throughout the war. But there are a few issues in favor of naming it after Miller:
- He was already a known war figure/hero (thanks to things like depictions in the media). I have to admit, I had never heard of Finn until you brought him up. (I admit, reading up on him, he was just as much a hero as Miller.) But being a known figure means that, fair or not, you will be treated differently, and in this case he is seen as a bigger symbol of "american bravery"
- Miller was part of the navy at a time when black people were treated poorly. (There was segregation in the military and black people were not allowed to perform all tasks.) Still he joined up. At a time when he could have said "why should I fight for a country that treats me poorly" he decided to serve a country that didn't treat him well.

Aircraft carriers have historically been named after President's. And Destroyers after war heroes.
There are currently 3 active US carriers named after non-presidents. One was named after a former navy commander (Nimitz), two were named after political figures (Stenis, Vinson)

When you have a 'tradition' where you break the rules roughly 1/3 of the time, its not exactly a mandatory 'rule' that needs to be followed.
Under Trump, military recruiting numbers have sky rocketed. These are easily verifiable facts. He deserves a carrier named after him.
Normally, the majority of people enlist in the military for personal benefit (steady pay, educational/training opportunities, etc.) rather than some sort of patriotic duty. (I am not saying those serving in the military AREN'T patriotic, just that its not the main motivation for enlisting for most.)

If recuritment numbers are going up, it could be that people are looking at rising inflation and slowing job creation and thinking to themselves "I need to get in a safe, reliable job".

They're joining up because that's where a very large part of the government taxation money is going. If you want a government handout, there's huge slices of pie available for white boys in uniform. Women and minorities, not so much though.

That is why the plan is that the US will have to hold a supply of stable coin, just as it holds a supply of gold. it can the insist on paying for things with stable coin.

One of the 'advantages' of stable coin is it is trackable and includes a freeze and reallocate option. The stablecoin can be frozen at any point by the issuer, e.g. Tether, and can even be reallocated - effectively pickpocketing. This can be done at the whim of the issuer and requires no court order.

US stablecoin could effectively be like fairy gold, you think you are wealthy but then it has all melted away in the morning. Upset Trump and he can ask Tether to freeze or take back the stable coin in your account.

I'm getting damn tired of the left 'forgetting' military customs and standards every time they want to take a potshot at Trump.

DEI is dead. It needs to be renamed after our greatest President.

Navy Cross merits a destroyer, not a carrier.
Presidents get carriers.
The armed forces were still segregated. That's why he was a steward. They were relegated to the menial tasks like that intentionally.

According to google
Yes, Black sailors on U.S. Navy ships during World War II generally had separate sleeping and living quarters because the military enforced strict racial segregation. Most African American enlisted men served in the separate stewards branch (as cooks and mess attendants) and were berthed in distinct compartments apart from white sailors. Even on experimental, integrated or predominantly Black combat vessels like the USS Mason, white and Black crew members were assigned separate quarters

Surely a breach of copyright?

I am not sure her personal correspondence to her boss should be made public. This is not 'political'. The media should be careful about picking on little people. If she commits suicide ....

I am not sure if "copyright" applies here, since these were not published works.

You might have a point.

On the other hand, its hard to have much sympathy for anyone in the republican Klan given the way they have made Fauchi's diary public.
