Does somebody have to explain to him that US passports are issued to Americans and not to visitors? Why on earth would you tell your own citizens "Welcome, but be good"?

I will be speaking at 1:30 P.M. to The Faith and Freedom Coalition, and one of the Statements I will be making, perhaps the most important of them all, concerns the recent Election of Communists in our Country. They're animals! In many cases, not smart but, in some cases, they are. It's easy for them to get followers because they make promises that they know they can't keep, and the Dumocrats aren't fighting back. In many ways, they're allowing them to go their own way. They're afraid they will lose their Election, they're afraid of conflict. They're not smart enough or tough enough to fight this plague. If they fought them the way they fight Republicans, or me, they'd be victorious, but they don't have the courage to do so. These are not social Dumocrats, these are hard core, godless Communists. This is the most serious threat to our Country since its existence 250 years ago. Isn't it ironic, we're celebrating a very important Birthday, and instead of speaking about Christ, Freedom, and Victories of all different kinds, we're speaking about yet another threat to the Foundations of America.

These ruthless Communists will attack all Religions but, in particular, Christianity - They always do. All Communist Countries attack Religions violently. As you know, we recently struck Nigeria, and largely ended the slaughter of their Great Christian population. They know that if they go further, the attack will be far greater and, in that, they don't want to get involved. I am saving Christians throughout the World, even though we are not in those various Countries, by hitting these Terrorists violently and hard. They will close your Churches, they will kill your people.

Clearly he believes new immigrants are issued with a US passport when they arrive at the border. This gives me an idea...

I'm going to go to the USA, and when I get off the plane, I'm going to demand a US passport like this. I don't care what it says inside. I came through the US border, so where's my passport? Great souvenir! And it even lets me vote in US elections, because it is one of the acceptable ID documents for (non-mail-in) voting! Woohoo!

If it were part of a general course in Religion and/or western Civ ,and if the bible stories were treated the same way stories from Greek and Norse Mythlogy are generally taught I would have no problem, but you know that is not what these jerks have in mind.
What part of the first amendment fobidding an establishemnt of religion in Government did these fools not get?
But then I have great faith (excuse the expression ) that most kids will treat it as just another crap course they have to tolerat in order to advance.
And this is going to guarantee a lot of lawyers will make a good living from the lawsuits this is going to bring.
They also eliminated a course in world history.

Isn't the constitution above all ? I'm no expert but seems logical. And IMHO any state regulation of guns is in clear conflict with the second amendment. The fact that SCOTUS only says it now and only in Hawaii is IMHO only result of somebody calling it up. And other states might soon follow if they see this.
The right way to regulate guns is IMHO unfortunately on constitutional level, where the problem lies.

Actually the second amendment as it was written and meant to be understood left most of the regulation of weapons* to the states. By making it mandatory to be in the state militia before a person could carry weapons (never mind owning them), the states were to regulate who could have them, except in the case of the federal army, which was meant to be small, very small.

*Arms is a general term for all weapons meant for war, not just guns.

I really really hate to agree with Stubby McBonespurs, but I really think a rent freeze is a bad idea.

It may be a popular policy, but basic economics/supply and demand curves: reducing the price of something artificially will reduce supply. Current tenants will love the rent freeze... future tenants will find it harder to find a place to live.

Yes, I recognize that there are people who are truly struggling to make ends meet, and they should be helped. But an alternative (such as income supplements) would be a better way to go.

The housing market doesn't follow anything remotely close to the idealised notion of supply and demand, simply because building owners have all the negotiating powers.
