Trump's Second Term

In case anyone is still following the Gordie Howe bridge fiasco, the bridge was scheduled to open this past Friday but the merkins have stopped it for some unspecified "technical issues".

I think this goes beyond the trump-supporting Maroun family (owners of a competing bridge) now. The administration is using this as a bargaining chip in trade negotiations and why not? In what now looks like a ridiculously bad idea, Canada paid the entire tab and will only recoup the money from tolls when the bridge opens.

Take note, middle powers of the world. There is no longer such thing as an agreement or contract with America. Be it trade, defense or some other thing, you might think you have one, but it only lasts until they decide it doesn't. Not that this is a new development, america has always reserved the right to renege on its commitments but generally refrained from doing so too often, lest they destroy their credibility. That restraint is now gone.

Of course, I have been an advocate of the Vatican City solution for the DC issue for some time. Carve out a small portion of DC..basicall the area around the Mall extending from the Lincoln Momorial to the Supreme Court building as the Distict of COlumiba, with a very low population of legal residences, and let the rest of DC go back to Maryland (hich would make Marylland a solid Blue state),

Just saw a department of War recruitmen commerical before "Disclosure Day", It was greeted by a pretty crowded thatre with universal laughter. The whole thing was narrated by Trump, with lots of footage of trump, including where he says "The US never loses a War", Guess he never heard of Vietnam and Afghanistan or Iran for that matter.
Interesting that all the soldiers shown in the ad were white male, no minorities or women. Pretty clear a Jim Crow military is what Donnie and Hegarth want.
