The New York Times editorial board has delivered a scathing, 1,200-plus-word critique of Donald Trump’s $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund.”

So what do people think of her resignation?

Person with a legitimate concern over a family member with a serious illness?
A rat deserting a sinking ship, trying to save what little dignity she has left?

Don't know much about Lukas (her replacement). His earlier confirmation to deputy director was 51-46 (don't know exact votes but it suggests partisanship "democrats against/republicans in favor of"). It does seem like he has at least some relevant experience/knowledge (although working for the CATO institute suggests a more... libertarian.... thought process)
 
I don't think you go into details about a loved one's illness or your marriage in a resignation letter.

I'm not saying the her husband isn't sick or that she isn't resigning in part to be there for him. Just that it reads more like a press release for public consumption than a formal letter to one's boss.

Granting, its not the usually glazing we see from his toadies.

If it's true about her husband (& I have no reason to doubt it is) then I wouldn't criticise her for it, although I would point out how privileged she is to be able to give up working under such circumstances.

funny thing about that too is that the trump data leak was in 2019. when he was in charge of the irs.

i mean, remember that time he was recorded saying "these are secret documents, i'm not supposed to have them. look at the secret documents i have in my hand" and you could hear him crinkling the documents.

that was ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ crazy.
