...You already know that the answer is that, yes, he very well may.

"Stupid enough" implies that you think that Trump's actions have anything to do with the good of the US, even after how consistently he betrays and sabotages the US across the board. If one thinks of Trump as a hostile foreign agent or a pawn of such, his actions make plenty of sense, either way.

First thing this morning my wife turns the TeeVee news on. As she does every day, I get up as soon as I can to escape it.
Talking head referring to Trump's Injustice Department planning to indict Raoul Castro, who is even older than Trump.
Something to the effect of "They want to replace the authoritarian Castro regime with a multi-party democracy and freedom of the press."
Which was pretty much the dumbest thing I ever heard. Multiparty democracy and freedom of the press are what Trump is trying to stamp out in the USA.
What he wants in Cuba is a right-wing authoritarian regime which will kiss Trump's ass and send him money. But not in that order.
